    Weird electrical gremlins like this usually come from bad or intermittent ground connections. If you had the truck apart I'd suspect that one of the grounds either didn't get reattached or the ground bolt didn't get tightened down all the way and it's causing an intermittent connection.

    Another vote for replacing engine with junkyard pullout. The old motor is worth some $$ for parts, you'll come out ahead in time and money swapping the complete engine and selling off the old one. If you really want to build the engine you need to multiply your $6k budget by 3 or 4...

    It's just how you want the tune to sound at idle. The tuner can set the turbo vanes to be more closed at idle which will make more of a hiss sound, or he can open them more to make more rumble. Your preference.

    Right, I understand that concept, when the spring line and the bar line intersect in front of the rear axle. I can't wrap my head around what happens when they don't, like in the drawing I posted.

    So what happens when the caltrac bar and spring line diverge towards the front of the truck? Here is what mine looks like. Is the instant center behind the rear axle? How does this orientation affect things?

    That's the Autocal, and yes that will work too. That black box is the urea tank, and if you delete the emissions you can remove it.

    Yes, you will need a tune to turn off the emissions systems codes if nothing else. If you already have a V2, you can find a tuner that will email the tunes to you so you can load.

    If you're doing a full exhaust that means you are deleting the emissions stuff, which means you NEED a tuner. If you're going that far, you should do an EGR delete as well.

    Those look aftermarket to me, can you trace the wires and see where they go? I'm wondering if there was an alarm system or something installed that was later removed.

    As far as the module goes, it's operation is crippled but parts of it still work. If I wanted to race with it I could, if I set it to auto mode and go it will lock when it's supposed to and shut off when TCM commands lockup, which would work fine since the lockup command would basically hand...
