    heater core?

I think its the headgasket. How else would you get pressurized air in the system... My gaskets were completely finished and there was no evidence of hydrocarbon when I drained all the coolant out. There was some signs of coolant in the cylinders though.

    heater core?

I am going to venture to say its the head gasket. You'll get some heat for a short while until the T stat gets warm enough to open once. I'm not exactly sure how it all works but you'll get a big pressurized slug of air in there and then she's done making heat. On mine, the gauge actually...

    second time this happen

I had a mystery loss of prime as well long time ago. I installed a billet fuel pickup in the tank and a set of TTS dual lift pumps and its been good ever since. I'm guessing that the changing of fuel lines fixed it, or the addition of pressure to the rest of the system from the lift pumps fixed it.

    CP3 bites the dust

Sucks... Sure there is no other issues? I would think that a CP3 pump would either work fine, or totally shit the bed. Just due to the design. If your interested. I have an LB7 pump I could sell to ya. Its in Sherwood Park. No idea whats its worth, I would have to figure it out. And you could...

    Simon you racing friday?

My truck made it down the strip once and posted a respectable time... I don't think I should chance it with that thing anymore. Plus, if my 8100lb weigh in wasn't enough the first time, the sled deck, ramp and sledding gear isn't going to do me any favors next time around. I'm hoping my next...

    G 80 , Any Guess's ??

Depending on whats broken... could be good for ever or it could lock up on you when you least expect it. I wouldn't take my chances with it for too long though because its likely that whatever is broken will get kicked up into the gears sooner or later and cause catastrophic failure. The rear...

How much $ to rebuild turbo?

Check with Alamo Turbo in Edmonton or Calgary. Not my preference because they were A-holes to me, but they can rebuild a BW.

    Getting stuck in a gear???

I changed the filter and reflashed the ECM and all is well. Only thing is its starting to get stupid again... I wonder if I got a really bad batch of fuel and its still working its way through the system? I'm going to change oil this week, clean the air filter and pick up a couple fuel filters...

    Getting stuck in a gear???

Ok, thanks Mike. I will do this fuel filter as well, that limp mode was weird. I'll check for codes tomorrow, but I may have all that fuel limp mode stuff turned off... and my FPRV is shimmed so much it probably can't open, so I'm not sure whats up but i got a few things to try.

    Getting stuck in a gear???

Well today I was going down a hill and when I came out of the bottom of the hill its like a fuel limp was going on, couldn't pull over about 2000rpm, more like 1800 was tops. So I just coasted for a bit and then it was back to normal. So it seems to me that maybe my fuel filter is buggered...

    Pulse width

I think anyone who has played with tunes a lot has tried pretty much every method to adjusting things, I know I have. Don't worry about the far left side of the table, its borderline impossible for the tune to get into that region anyways. One thing you'll notice with tuning the way you are so...

    Getting stuck in a gear???

Maybe the fuel filter. I had thought about that already but it didn't seem too likely. It was changed last oil change... or the oil change before that. So either 3000 or 7000km ago. I am almost positive that I changed it the weekend of the Blackout drags, so August 15th, about 3000km ago. Yes...

    Getting stuck in a gear???

This could be a tuning issue, but I have reflashed the ECM twice now and now change. Also cleared the taps once and no change. Also, I have ran two tunes that never did this before, but now both of them do it. Basically, in 2nd to 4th gear, at more than 75% throttle the truck will rev up to...

    the oilfield

Maybe, its likely that they will both resume at the same time though. Althought firebag is already an operating site, they may actually resume that sooner than voyager. The only kicker is that, they need voyageur to process the extra feed from firebag 2/3/4/5 or whatever stage they are on now...

What is your next mod gonna be?

I'm putting a new sled deck on for the winter. Besides that, I just want to get it shifting correctly and run trouble free for the whole winter.

    the oilfield

They are still doing foundation work, structural and electrical at the voyageur site. I haven't heard about them going full bore on it anytime soon, but eventually it will.

LB7: what turbo should i get?

It comes with the BD supermax install kit which has a lot of parts you don't need in it. You will run a new oiling line from down by the oil filter to feed the turbo. Plug the stock location. Also, the HTT has no water cooling, so that line is just looped. It comes with a downpipe which looks...

    Oil choices for built engines

I think diesel power and killer bee have said everything there is to say about the effects using using certain types of oil. I'm not saying I know a lot, but I've been educated on oils, properties, uses and the science and technology behind them along with reviewing a lot of oil properties and...

LB7: what turbo should i get?

I got mine from... underground Diesel I think. It was reasonably priced. Mine is the 66mm compressor, 71mm turbine and 13cm SS housing. its an excellent turbo for the street. The bigger housing or a slightly bigger turbo wouldn't hurt, but with my 35" tires it probably wouldn't be as responsive.
