    What do you guys do for home shop oil/fluid storage?

    I have several of the Amsoil 2.5 gallon jugs, nice 3" openings to pour the oil back in through, and since its how much the truck holds, I just drop them at wally world or the local O'reillys. I keep a couple of empty ones for doing oil changes in her car and other stuff.

    In order to access the mega fuse, you will need to remove the fender brace and lift the entire fuse block cover off not just the customer service cover. I will try to get a pic form the 04 to point out what needs to be removed, but I cannot actually remove it right now as truck is in storage.

    Did you check the main fuse in the block? You probably have to pull the fender brace out, then lift both the service cover and then the big clunky cover over the fuse block to get down to the mains. Since this is also where the main input from the batteries come into the clock, check for power...

    Dont forget you will most likely need to remove the flex plate to pull the upper pan also. I got extremely lucky and found a socket that would fit the head of the bolts and allow me to remove and retorque them.

    Its not possible to change the pistons without 10X more headache than its worth. Plan on pulling the engine and removing the heads. While you have the heads off, have them checked. Mine needed 16 of 32 valve guides at 160k. Also while you have the heads off, if you have not already done so...
