**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

I didn't re-log with the new wheel in the S475, but the IHI WG should be the same as before, I'm just cracking open at the very peak RPM. I could probably just disconnect the reference tube and mechanically shut it for keeps. IIRC, I was making like 18psi from the IHI and around 20psi from the...

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

My “stock” turbo is a house branded XDP stock replacement, but it has 1 less blade on the compressor vs OEM. It is ported and polished. I went back through all pages of this thread for like the 100th time, lol. I think that with the super short windows that we are considering, the operator...

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

I'll give it a chance until temps drop and I can re-eval. Since it's a compound setup, the shaft speed tops out pretty low though, so I'm not sure if its a keeper. Never trust the butt dyno though, I was surprised by the results.

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

I'm going through the data and in every comparison that I am able to make with the data from last year, the cast wheel outperforms. I'm going to try again when it's 45* out, and then see what the numbers look like. It'll be a few months, lol.

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

5th gear test. Again, as close as I can get. Left side is today with Bullseye wheel in the S475, and the right was last year. Stock cast wheel is faster, but I can't say if it's a temp thing. I also may have loaded better last year with more throttle position. For my own S&G I might look...

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

Sorry for the screwups this morning. This screen shot is 2 logs side by side. On the left is today. Bullseye wheel in the S475. Temps are 65F vs 45F. Same road. The comparison shows the right side is faster to spool. That's the stock cast wheel in the S475 and lower ambient temp. Because...

**CHALLENGE** - TURBO LAG TEST using a log

thanks, James! I also have to say that EGT are down a couple hundred on WFO runs. How much is a fully operational intake valve and how much is that + the bullseye wheel :dunno!

I saw a picture of kryp with a failed boot. The boot was green under a little black exterior fogging. Maybe the old hate posts from Dulkan (or some name like that years ago) about the Kryps being a rebranded TTX are correct. Hmm.

.060 sounds more like Dodge front axle play to me! "Clicky Clicky... it's within spec" :FML. LOL

So what's the recommendation on this? Buy another TTX from a Brick and Mortar, or OEM or? TNX!

Interesting! I just got denied by Nik Caragianis of Mevotech because I bought them from Amazon, and he says Amazon and EBay are 3rd party sellers. I linked him to the Mevotech store on Amazon and asked him if it’s a fraudulent company that needs to be shut down on Amazon. Hmm. Good to know that...

3 degrees. Just did a LOF and my driver’s side Mevotech TTX lower ball joint has a torn boot. Ugh. Maybe 12-15k on it. My OEM lowers went 160k and were still on the truck when I sold the LMM. GRR!! 3 fwd and 2 back again. lol.

Wrapped up after the rain stopped yesterday. I put Jack stands under the frame and hung the rear suspension. I then removed the pass side shock lower bolt and I had like 1/4” of travel left. I tossed the lowering bracket and attached both shocks without them. There was about an inch or so of...

Driver side is on. I decided to stop running the extensions. I looked it all over some more and they are slapping the hell out of the shock mount. The passenger side is already tweaked all to hell. So my only choices are to make new mounts that position the shock in a lowered position, or just...

Well this is interesting: Hello Sir, Part #6654 is not going to work with the Fox shock. Part #6654 will only work with a Belltech shock. John Walls Customer Service KW Automotive North America, Inc.

I considered the possibility of bottoming out, but these are extending the shock and I've never heard of anyone with a 3" drop shackle bottoming a shock. It "should" hit the bump stop before that happens. I also considered the possibility of topping out, but when I jack the truck up, I need to...

I have 1/4” replacement brackets. I was thinking about hammering these flat pieces over and boxing them.

    2002 FE9

To clarify - the extenders change the location of the shock to work better after using the lowering shackles. Shorter shocks will not correct the new shock angles. As you raise the back of the pack, the shocks (mostly the pass side) starts becoming horizontal instead of vertical, and looses...

Looking at the pic, you’re right. One side broke long before the other apparently. Tue replacements are 1/4” and I’m going to box them.
