    Boost sensor question

I think Josh gave you good advice. My guess is it needs a new MAP sensor. Total different sensor than the MAF.

    Help please, dropped driveshaft

Yep looks like the extension/tail housing disintegrated when your shaft went. She wont drive as it is. Yes you will need to pull the transmission to stand it on end so you dont loose parts when doing the change. You can probably find a used one online or a salvage yard like Hicksville Auto...

    Seriously?

My i hate rat nests like that. Some people just have no idea how to wire things up nicely.

    2004 lb7 duramax

For long term reliability you better keep it out of stage 3. Although if it were mine it wouldn’t stay out long?. Having a little bit of fun with it occasionally probably wont hurt much IF you put it in tow haul mode so torque converter locks up in second gear and don’t do boosted launches or...

    LBZ Problem Child

The LBZs have a problem of wires chafing against the wheel well liner where the wires curl around to go into the ECM. I would check that along with making sure all grounds are good.

Old guy, just getting into Diesel

Welcome. Looks like you got some extra boost with that big snail off to the side there. Hopefully the heads are studded.

What is the number 1 thing you have done to make your truck tow better?

Quality tune as the rest of my mods wouldn’t be much good without it.

    Duramax Squarebody “shift range inhibit”

This is exactly my thoughts that came to me within the first few lines i read of your question. Do you have the fluid up to the correct mark on dipstick with engine running. The engine must be running When checking level.

    Lml no power

That hose is really flexible. If it wouldn’t be for the bands around it, it wouldn’t last long. I think Ron may have some answers for you as well.

    Lml no power

Your meaning the short piece between the two plastic ends? That should have steel rings placed in the bellows to keep it from expanding.

    Lml no power

Yes that is the cold side pipe but it is plastic and does not use boots and clamps. Has built in retaining clips.

    Nitto 420V

    Blown turbo lly?

I would say that is very likely the culprit to your sound.

    Blown turbo lly?

I was gonna say that it might be the LBZ y-bridge coming apart but since it was doing it before it probably is somewhere else. Don’t rule out an exhaust leak either.

    Blown turbo lly?

Do what Brad said but i would also suspect maybe a hole in the charge cooler system be it boots, pipes, or inter cooler.

    Blown turbo lly?

The LLY doesn’t have a wast gate as it is variable vane. Did you use the factory LBZ Y-bridge or is it a custom piece?

    Blown turbo lly?

For a few bucks you can buy adapters made to pressurize your system and see if you have a leak anywhere.

    Difference in a 17-19 and 2020+ engine?

Ive put a few 2020 L5Ps into the older series body. There are besides the obvious oil cooler upgrade, some minor changes to line routing for the turbo cooling and line to the coolant tank. The front cover was also slightly changed for the new fan pulley design. In fact some of the later 19s had...

    Front Hub Replacment

Both of my hubs are Kryptonite. Have been on for not sure how long, couple/several years at this point with probably 30-50k miles or more put on them. Just put a set on dads truck also.

    Rolled my truck.

Use all the original dash. As for the bags get the hd versions unless the 1500 bags are the same in those years. If what you have are single stage then they will work. The easiest way is use everything possible from the original truck. Of course trim pieces and such doesn’t matter but anything...
