    Lml ecm pinout diagram needed

I have a 2013 lml duramax that has the code u0106. Anyways, I am pretty confused right now. I need the gpcm pinout for this truck. The diagram for the older ones don't match this one. I have 11 grounded pins on the connector and no power at all to the connector with the key on. According to my...

    Lml ecm pinout diagram needed

Hey guys, I need the gpcm pinout as well. I just got around to working on it today, and the pinout diagrams I am finding don't match the gpcm connector on my lml. If anyone has that, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks!

    Lml ecm pinout diagram needed

I have a 2013 lml duramax. I keep getting a loss comm with gpcm code. I want to check the continuity across the can/bus wires to the ecm to rule out a faulty wire. I have wiring diagrams, but they don't really show much detail on what pins or which ecm connector the gpcm uses. I could figure it...

Got a couple of cylinder contribution codes

Ok, all the cylinders are happy now. It has a U0106 code that will not go away. It is for the glow plug control module communication. It started as open circuits on cylinders 3 and 8. This code seemed to appear after I changed the glow plugs. I am going to trace wires when the weather warms up a...

Got a couple of cylinder contribution codes

Well, codes came back today, along with another new code. I deleted it already, but the new code was in regards to the glow plug control module. It stated "failure to communicate with the glow plug control module". It was 14 degrees fareinheit this morning when it all came back on. It also took...

Got a couple of cylinder contribution codes

So, a little update. I haven't compression tested it yet. I also can't get my scanner to pull the balance rates. It keeps saying "function not available" on my scan tool. I need to buy an autel...anyways, just for grins and giggles, I replaced those 2 glowplugs. It needed it anyways. Now, no...

Got a couple of cylinder contribution codes

Yeah, it is stock. I will check the balance rates and compression and see what it's doing. It doesn't have blowby or a dead miss or anything. I guess it could be a valve issue. Anyways, I will check it out better when I get time.

Got a couple of cylinder contribution codes

Well, I bought a new truck and sold my 2016 lml. I bought a 2013 gmc sierra 3500 with the lml in it. It had a lot less miles and my other truck was giving me fits with injectors. When I bought it, it had no codes. The next morning, I had 2 glowplug circuit open codes for cylinders 8 and 3. I...

    Block or head resurfacing?

Ok, I have a technical question about head and block resurfacing. So, I am currently contemplating on buying a lml truck that says it has blown head gaskets. Now, that isn't too big of a deal for me really. But, upon doing some random reading, someone said the engine block needs refaced??? I...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

The guy needed his truck back to drive it a couple days this weekend. So, he took it today. I didn't get a chance to finish it. I will test the wires when he brings it back. I told him it wasn't going to build any boost or have much power. Hopefully it don't tear it up driving it a little with a...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Ok, I will check the wires thoroughly tommorow. I sure appreciate your advise, help and info. This is an awesome forum. There's a lot more technical knowledge and info here than some other forums. Again, thanks!

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Ok, good info. So, what would be a maxed out psi on the live data? I read 37 psi regardless of engine load or rpm fluctuations. If I disconnect the connector, the reading drops to 4.5 psi. If 37 is the max, then does that mean the signal wire is maxed out to 5v? Here is the associated codes and...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Of course, the map probably wouldn't read 0 unplugged if the ecm senses a open circuit and switches to default setting to keep it going...right? However, I don't know what the programmed default reading for a map sensor would be.

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

I will ohm them tommorow and check the continuity. If I understand the working principle of the map, the signal wire should read a amperage drop through the resistor and send that to the ecm, which is programmed to a "value conversion" that takes the Amp reading and translates it to psi or gm/s...

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

I did not ohm the wires. Unplugged it is still reading 4.5psi on live data. Plugged in it goes up to 37psi. Are you thinking the signal wire is shorted to ground? That was my thought. If the 5v ref or the low ref was shorted to ground or power, then it would be reading less than 5 or more than...

How hard is it to swap a 2017 l5p into a 2017 6.0 gas truck

You guys have more ambition than I do. I have did a few frankenstien swaps in my day and it usually involves me laying on my creeper under the rig questioning all my stupid decisions. I am doing a zf6 swap into my dodge right now. The adapter plate just hit my high dollar banks down pipe...and...

Can someone move this to the lly thread please, if its not already. I think I posted to the wrong spot. Thank you and sorry about that.

2005 lly duramax map sensor/wiring issue

Hey guys, I am working on a truck for a guy and it's a 2005 lly. It kept blowing off the y bridge elbow, because it had a cheap egr delete on it. I order the y bridge strap from pro fab and put on for him. That fixed the blowing off issue, but I noticed it was way over boosting. (Probably why it...
