    A stock 4l80 will hold it just fine but it will be lame with a stock converter and the converter is the issue. If it was a 4l60e I'd have different things to say. Like ditch it for an 80e lol

    If you get one that's known good I would just do a converter and shift kit. No sense in trying to rebuild a factory built trans.

    Batteries died in truck, after charging them and firing up the truck the AC controls work but will not change through the positions, hot/cold blend seems fine, fan speed works, won't change from defrost to any other position. Is there any way to recalibrate or reset this? Thanks

    Just ran cat6 from my house some 250 feet to my shop, save yourself the headache of messimg with extenders. After the trencher rental, the cable and PVC to run it in, and I went oversized so I could have room for something else later if need be. I was only in it for a couple hundred bucks.

    If you're going to get the fass get rid of the filter head completely, eventually they all go bad regardless if new or rebuilt.
