I'd leave it there... block er up underneath and call it done!
Now that dude can say he's got a moat! He can fish from his living room!
Just need to put a new garage door in the end of the wall so he can get his vehicle in now.
Racinmike, thanks. I can understand that. I never really thought about the rotation.
brown bear - I never thought of it at first, but in 4x4 the front tires want to go forward so they push together on the steering components and when they do it torques the whole setup. And because of the...
What does running the straight centerlink do? I almost bought one, but upon examining the stock unit its fairly beefy. I can't see the geometry of the stock unit being an issue.
I put on cognito HD tie rods, it helped a bit.
I have a procomp 6" lift and there is braces built into the unit...
Hmm... maybe my truck runs better than i thought.
not sure how accurate the "duramax math" is. But my weight of 8100 pounds and an approximate rwhp of 500 will go 13.69. I see no reason why my truck wouldn't be in the neighborhood of 500rwhp.
I'm planning on being there. I might try pulling and drag racing for the first time.
I've got low expectations. 15 second 1/4 and probably break something pulling. Pending I get my hitch made in time.
Dmax fireman... I've used that type before, they aren't bad. but if I recall right, when your turning they made super loud clunking creaking and groaning noise.
I still like the chain style. Easy use of a crow bar. And there is a bit more variability as far as which chain link you want to throw...
Well I don't know for sure. i thought it was a decal that said SRT8 on the side of it. I'm thinking it had some kind of decal up on the hood too...??? Kind of like where the duramax badges are on the NBS chevys.
I thought it went quite fast... I did give it pretty well all my truck's got and...
I'm going to take a wild and arbitrary guess that the individual chains wouldn't see more than a max of about 1000lbs force of tension...
What kind of chain do you have, welded or non welded? Most likely its welded. On the chain somewhere there should be some identification markings, they will...
Do they make a Dodge Magnum SRT8? If they do, then thats what I raced.
Some 80 year old looking guy... I was in the right lane, needed to get into the left to turn left at some lights. So from one set of lights I rolled on it to pass him and he floored it to cut me off. So at the next light I...
I cleaned my mass air flow for shits and giggles once because I thought it might make a difference. It was fairly dirty, and even with logging there was nothing noticeable and no change of data whatsoever.
I'm wondering if anyone has actually logged a dirty maf versus clean one?
I also run an...
If I would have been pulling anything I would have been reduced to about 60-70km/h.
I recall seeing atleast 7 jeep grand cherokee's between salt lake city and L.A. broken down on the side of the road. Pretty sure 5 out of those 7 were between the L.A. side of the hill and vegas. They(dodges)...
I was doing about 150km/h up that hill empty and was heating up. I had to slow down...
Maybe it was because my Chevy isn't used to that kind of heat. Its more accustomed to the minus 50 temps.
9000 pounds... holy man, where you hanging all the hidden weight?
My truck weighs 8100 pounds and I've got a lift with 35" tires and tons of extra garbage in, on, under and around my truck. I think most guys with stock trucks are sitting around the 7500 mark???
Anyways, good kill. I think I...
Welcome.
You probably won't need the injector puller tool. I was able to grab all of mine by the top and pull them out. If they were tight I just wiggled them and turned them back and forth and they came out. If they are still tight, keep the hold downs on them and use that to work them out...
I don't know about CV axles on vehicles, but usually you want some angle in them.
I know too much angle is hard on the joint. But if you don't have any angle then you put extra wear on one portion of the joint rather than wearing it evenly over a range of motion.
This is more true for...
Ya, trans is a required investment if you want to push any more power.
You could very successfully run a turbo like the HTT with stock tuning though. I suppose you can still make excellent power the with stock turbo and a built trans though so I guess its a toss up haha.
