I like the airdog 4g kits. They are quiet and the mounting system is far superior to the FASS IMO. Did a FASS and an fp100 airdog install recently and the airdog was way nicer.
I would also recommend if doing the cp3 conversion buy the SDP kit. They give you a fitting for the suction that is curved so you don’t have to partially kink off the suction line like most all of the other kits do. Helped a buddy put one in his ‘13 and it went pretty smooth.
Mine is a classic but I use it similarly to what you plan to. I did a 6” Zone with a 3” block in the rear. Lowered the front till it was level. Best to use factory UCA for this.
I’d go with a 20x9 or 20x10 wheel if I were you. The little extra sidewalk saves your tires and wheels when you’re...
Ya there’s a bunch of donkeys out there that crank up the bars and drop shackle the rear or lift the front only and think it’s rad. It’s dumb AF for a multitude of reasons.
Leveling keys are indexed different from stock so your torsion key bolt is going to be backed out quite a bit more than it would with the stock key. It’s not ideal. You can try it and see and if you feel the need to change it or not.
Actually it will fit but you have to crank the bars up quite a bit and as said alignment is a bitch. Buddy left his in with his cognito 7-9” and it worked but angles on the top BJ still weren’t the best. Rode fine though and aligned fine. If you have a level kit in it now you may want to put the...
Turns out that buddies truck that was knocking when he was down in Cali it was actually #7 injector that failed. 2 different scanners said it was #8.
Really thinking I should invest in a Tech 2. Clearly the aftermarket ones can’t be trusted.
I’ve actually never even ridden in an L5P long enough to even know if the trans they currently run is decent or not, but I do know gm needs to do something with that shitty 6 speed they put behind the 6.6 gas. Worst driving truck I’ve ever owned.
As my buddy and I trade swear words at this LBZ we’re trying to start after doing head gaskets we were trying to remember who made the first dsp5 switch available to market. I feel like it was Kennedy or SoCal but can’t rightly remember. Any of the other OG’s on here recall the answer to this...
Good to know. I figured the sensors were interchangeable physically, just didn’t know if they were different in themselves. I’ll try it on Friday when I’m done work. It’s weird cuz I did plug in the old hub and it didn’t change but I’ll give it another whirl.
