Why go with a Van thermostat housing?
Most do it for looks, and to be routed like every other chevy truck in existence other then the 01-10 duramax. Also allows better access to the #2 injector and the valley.- The A Team

Top 25 Stock Duramax's
Well did not get much racing in this season but made a bunch of changes to suspension and netted much faster with a lot more left on the table once its dialed in. Best run with traction issues on fuel only 12.26 @109.86 stock fuel stock turbo, and 11.45 @ 119.24 with a shot of nitrous.- The A Team

Top 25 Stock Duramax's
I have ran my 07 RCLB 2wd to a best of 11.72 and a best of 116.58mph with stock charger, stock pump, stock injectors, still has a egr cooler on it. Intake, downpipe, exhaust and a small shot of nitrous. Not a dedicated race truck just a cruiser with amazing fuel economy.- The A Team
