    LB7: Daily Driver/Tow Rig Rebuild

[emoji23] that’s my thread, but a local shop did my machine work, not SoCal. As much as I would like to have an engine from SoCal! Maybe someday... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LB7: Daily Driver/Tow Rig Rebuild

Yep, they’ve been racing for over 30 years. Mahle specifically states that bearings have to be measured 90° from the split since that’s the thickest point. The bearings taper down and are actually a bit wedge shaped at the split. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LB7: Daily Driver/Tow Rig Rebuild

Don’t know as this is the first time I’ve done it. Don’t have enough miles on the setup to be able to tell you that it holds, only about 5k miles, but they’re hard ones. [emoji48] I purely went by what the machine shop told me, which was that it’s done on gassers all the time. I guess time will...

    LB7: Daily Driver/Tow Rig Rebuild

Yeah, I had my crank magged and polished, and wasn’t happy with the clearances with either set, so I split them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    LB7: Daily Driver/Tow Rig Rebuild

I’ve still got a full set of rod bearings. It’s split half H/half HX. Installed a split set into mine when it was apart last time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 Silverado Headlights

Yeah, factory ones come straight out the back. Only in the Silverados tho, GMCs you’ve got to cut the rear cover a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    2015 Silverado Headlights

You can get a kit with D2S projectors and adapter brackets. Drops straight in the back, no cutting. Definite improvement over stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strange Turn Signal / Marker Lamp Electrical Issue - Need Help

I’d check operation on a totally separate truck. I just about think that’s normal operation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"OFFICIAL" What did you do to your D-Max today?

Some parts finally fell off the work truck. Crazy how easy it is to work on these things, could probably pull the turbo in an hour now. Check out how easy it is to get to the four turbo bolts, and the oil drain! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LML Coil overs for stock/lowered trucks

Plan on talking with Pro-Formance if nobody has info on anything. I don’t mind cutting the stock frame mount off and welding up a new one if that’s the only way to get a quality set up. 2-3” below stock height is where I want to be. Yeah, I saw the set up Coker has on his truck. Definitely...

    Oil cooling

That kit from Ben sounds interesting! I’ll have to check into that. I’m not sure what year it started, I was under the impression with the L5P ( might be the ‘19), but the banks idash does read oil temps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mahle Motorsport cast piston VS Fingers Oval

I’ve got a set of the oval bowl pistons in my LML, with 200 over injectors. It’s easier to tune out the fuel at idle on an LML, but I have barely any smoke at idle. Smokes a bit until everything gets up to operating temp, only a slight haze after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
