Back in an LBZ.... EFI live issue / question

Send me your ECM serial number. That should take care of it.

Back in an LBZ.... EFI live issue / question

Did you get the file I sent you on HPTuners forum? It looks like your post there is gone.

Back in an LBZ.... EFI live issue / question

OTOH, if you already have HPTuners and want to use that, I can supply a stock tune for you to build off of. You probably won't be able to have a DSP tune with HP though

Back in an LBZ.... EFI live issue / question

Your best bet, as others have said, is to get a stock file that matches the truck's VIN. You can flash over the tune that's in your ECM, you just can't read it. If you still want a DSP5 tune, there are various decent tunes floating around, and I believe Guy Tripp made scripts to copy multiple...

Back in an LBZ.... EFI live issue / question

That's correct, DSP5 tunes can't be read. But the EGR controls are still accessible.

Using a V2 for emissions readiness and forced regen?

V7.5 is still being updated to be compatible with V8. The latest stable version is available here: https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?31698-Jan-14-2025-V8-4-71-Public-Release-Update-4

    Stealth 64 Rebuild?

    (y) Yeah, my turbo is still going strong almost a year later. The hardest part is pulling the turbo, honestly. The rebuild process is easy enough as long as you keep track of all the pieces.

2015 Denali 2500 LML tuning question

Yes, the 5 position knob that you have now is a fuel limiter knob. I don't personally hate them as much as some people do. I've had great experiences using Efilive on these trucks. There is supposed to be a way to make true multi stage tunes for your ECM type, but it would be a custom third...

    My "New" 2016 Canyon

Probably not. The stance doesn't really bother me enough to go to the work of pulling the struts to install spacers. If I could slip a spacer under the bottom, like the 1500's, then maybe..

    My "New" 2016 Canyon

Yeah, I've heard talk about an 80 swap, but no one feels it's worth the effort I guess. I mean, some guys were / maybe are running compounds on these, and didn't upgrade the 50 right away.

    My "New" 2016 Canyon

I should probably start a new thread in the transmission forum at some point, but if anyone here has advice or recommendations on 6L50 upgrades and improvements, I'm all ears.

    My "New" 2016 Canyon

Had a chance to pick up a 2016 Canyon Duramax cheap. Bought it knowing it would have problems, but it's in surprisingly good shape, considering 210,000 miles on the clock. I found and addressed some wire chafing issues that are common on these. The torque converter had a nasty shudder, but I...

    Unimpressed with reputable tuner file

I disagree with the tuner about pulsewidth being the factory fuel control. These trucks have a torque based fueling system. I agree it's silly to just crank up pulsewidth. To his credit, he did make some adjustments to Driver Demand and Torque Based fuel, but he then proceeded to set the master...

    Unimpressed with reputable tuner file

You're right. I've done SOTF tunes for these trucks, and the tuner should be adjusting boost and timing as well as fuel rate. The engine noise is probably from the tuner raising timing across the board. That's a common practice I've never understood. Sure, you should add timing up top, and maybe...

    Turbo noise

10 blade turbine will give you lots of noise. Think 6.0 Powerstroke.
