    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

He took a big all aluminum hemi-based billet block top fuel engine and made it a diesel with pistons and billet heads. And put a big overdriven blower on top.

Ask Curtis if that thing was Dmax inspired he'll say "sh#t no it wasn't" He'd be real adamant about that.

    Stroker CP3 Whine

Hope it's not a CP3. You don't want to lose one of those.

    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

2 CP3's feed an LB7 rail in front. Fuel lines go from there through LB7 valve cover seals to a 6.4 fuel rail on each side and LBZ injectors. The whole thing is just remarkable.

    Stroker CP3 Whine

Mine did that.....revving in park or while moving, all the same......a whine that increased with more rpm. Sounded like loud turbo whine, the kind lots of people want. Boost leaks for me have been with a split boot, made kind of a whooshing noise and power would flatten.....but these were...

    Stroker CP3 Whine

Mine was quiet for about 3 months. But I'd never had one before and don't know much about them. Maybe they don't all sound the same, maybe some are noisier than others. The 12mm Exergy on there now is quiet.

    Stroker CP3 Whine

My stroker pump (not from Fleece) was about 3 mos old and began making noise. Sounded like louder than usual turbo whine. It started a few days before Weekend on the Edge. Held together for the Friday drags, then Sat. morning it went bang and locked up completely while on the dyno. I hope...

    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

We've talked about it a lot. An aluminum top fuel hemi based engine, diesel-ized. Two (2) Dmax parts, that's it. Curtis will tell you what's what. Said he'd been thinking about this engine for 15yrs.

    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

It's a top fuel hemi engine with diesel pistons and very special billet diesel heads. Not a Dmax, nothing like a Dmax, not even a little bit. Only Dmax parts are injectors and cam sensor. Awesome engine, unbelievable work.

    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

Same exact block. Heads have some really unique engineering.

    Brian Spooner's Blown Engine

There's no Duramax in that engine. The block is billet alum, way over 500". The same engine and internals used in top fuel and funny cars. But with diesel pistons. Diesel heads are machined from billet to Curtis' design. Huge ports. He built the unusual rocker setup. Cam is to his spec.

    New garret gtx4088 - sema

I'm hoping that GTX is killer. We'll see, I have two of them to replace the 62's on my triple setup.

    New garret gtx4088 - sema

We compared the cast 366 wheel with a billet at Gillett Diesel on their digital scale. Weight was identical.

LLY: Broken Crank, need opinions on new build sheet

There are 3 people I know of on this board who were way over 900hp with rods and de-lipped uncoated LB7 pistons. One pulling truck made 980 on a mustang dyno....he ran it hard for 4 yrs and the thing is now unused but still fine. Those pistons already had 130K miles on them when he built the...
