    LB7: High idle switch

I looked at their site and it appears they are just using the switch instead of hooking it back the the brake for the high idle shutoff. This is just a guess without a wiring diagram. It did say it had adjust ability thru cruise switch. I would send it back save $15 just get the Dsp5 switch...

Anyone see the new Ram? Looks like they upped their game

At least in my state anything over 26K gross you have to have CDL. I know this doesn't stop some idiot from doing it but don't get caught or the fine will be more than the truck payment. Heaven forbid they get in a wreck which regular insurance won't cover them over 26K. At least with a CDL...

    LB7: High idle switch

I did mine 2004 LB7 thru cruise control. Doesn't show on dash but works like a champ. My Dsp5 is run thru my CTS2 Link that might help: https://www.duramaxforum.com/forum/how-tos-diy-write-ups/110975-how-high-idle-01-02-lb7.html Sorry mods about linking another forum.

    Chevy1925 (James) Truck/motor build

I use big tools all the time for work so I have them. I have tried a lot of different types but my favorite is a $10 1/2"-3/4" drive spud ratchet from tractor supply clearance bin. I have had a 6' pipe on it with 2 guys on it and it just bent the handle a little. I have both the 3/4" and 1"...

    Can't keep IC pipes on

They are just a little smaller maybe 1/16" less dia. The plug itself is tight going in, just a little squeez and your good.

    Can't keep IC pipes on

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008427D88/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Had to get them for my 99 but they work on my 04 as well. Harder than the original but work great. Have had to remove them a couple times and they go right back in.

    Banks Diff Cover Video

I thought the anemometer in the first video was just a fan to keep him cool while filming till he said something:roflmao:. I know what a wind speed monitor is it just looked strange under the truck. I'm more used to seeing them on the boom of a crane.

    Banks Diff Cover Video

Thanks for the link. That clear cover in the video today must have cost him a few dollars. It is the fist time I have seen inside a diff while it was running in all my years of working on them. Can't wait to see the numbers when he gets done. Almost want to go and buy something from Banks...

LB7: Allison 5 speed to 6 speed conversion

Please turn your ears of and start reading, because whoever your listening to does not know what the are talking about. If I have to ask specifics about the mods to your truck that means you don't know. But we will start slow since I have had a few adult beverages. What kind of tunes do you...

LB7: Building a stock turbo puller, need help/opinions

All this talk of compression ratio takes me back to time I spent at the circle track. Whatever motor you ran had rules on compression ratio. Builders would have a limit of say 12.5:1 on a small block. Well they would run 12.5 on the passenger side and 15.5 on the drivers side of the motor...

LB7: Allison 5 speed to 6 speed conversion

Thanks for the info I was just trying to state it simply. I have read all of your (think it was you) and Ferm's write ups on 6 speed conversion. It is always nice to know good information. Thanks.

LB7: Allison 5 speed to 6 speed conversion

Like MikeL said double check your numbers on price. I Bought a PPE stage V upgrade ($2400) and still bought C5s ($300) and a seals kit. I know you don't need C5s but at 280k miles and what I was spending I wasn't about to do it half way. Found a local shop that I liked and after labor it...

LB7: Allison 5 speed to 6 speed conversion

A 6 speed conversion is cheaper than a rebuild. $1600-2300 depending on who you buy from. This will not replace any clutches or steels. You can go with an upgrade kit which will have clutches and steels with other assorted parts but still not a full rebuild. Does not get you the 6 speed...
