    Removing pinion/yoke

I made my own tool from 1/4" plate. Drilled four small holes that the mounting strap bolts fit in. Drilled a big hole in the center of the four small ones and welded a 1/2" nut. I used all thread and welded a nut to the end to use a wrench on. Works great. I've used it too many times on my truck.

LLY: Opinions on what's next before pulling season

Front locker is a big help. I use an elocker in mine. Make sure your factory limited slip is still good or replace with something stronger. I also upgraded my rear axles with moser units. Much beefier than stock plus I still have my stock ones in reserve if something happens. I would worry...

    LB7: Completely gelled up!

Got mine running again today. Had to crack a fuel line on the ficm to bleed air out. Had the charger on the batteries overnight so they were strong enough to crank. Put it in the garage to thaw out and it's ripping around again like nothing happened.

LLY: Head Gasket Replacement.. What else to do while its apart?

    That's a pretty solid list.

    LB7: Completely gelled up!

This is our biggest problem in Illinois. They mandate 11% bio in all our fuel. There's no getting away from it. Mines been froze for two days and still won't start this morning. I had topped of my tank the other night before it really dropped in temp and filled it with about a 10x dose of...

Jkholder's dirty laundry (cleanup from EPR bridge thread)

Not sure about the answer to the kit build. There are a lot of variables to consider. Being that I'm not a shop owner, I would hate to speculate what the true cost of building a kit would be. I know there is a lot of R&D that goes into these. I do know that the first few kits made would...

Jkholder's dirty laundry (cleanup from EPR bridge thread)

I can't see the pic real well. Are those pin holes in the center or just craters were you started and stopped? neither Would you feel comfortable that you penetrated deep enough into the thicker flange? yes Would You charge for that work? yes I am just asking questions and being picky. Not...

Jkholder's dirty laundry (cleanup from EPR bridge thread)

Post up some pics of your work. We all love to see cool fabrication. If you've got the skills we'll know and I'm sure have no trouble telling you so. Right now it's just a lot of talk back and forth. As far as Scott, he's a huge asset to this community. He endlessly helps people on this...

    Magnaflow down pipe

I scored an mbrp 4" for a a vendor on here for much less than eBay. It was on a holiday discount. I know a couple vendors have sales going on right now. Someone should be able to hook you up.

    LLY: Falken Rocky Mountain ATS

I was looking at those tires last time I was in the market. I would have got them but I fell into a great deal for a set of general grabbers.

    new guy CHI

Nice looking truck. Would love to upgrade the lights on mine to what you did. Would make a huge improvement over factory. The local Autozone sells the tailgate handle bezel if you haven't gotten one yet. I ordered one online before I figured that out. Mine shattered one day when I was using it.

Whose got an Epr y birdge?

You don't have any buddies who can weld aluminum? Seems like the easy fix would be to cut off one side, bolt it in place and tack the flange back on. Pull it part and weld it out. I understand your frustration. It sucks to have to rework a part you paid good money for that should have fit...

    Good buying experience

With all the talk lately about garage sale transactions going so bad I though I would post up a positive one for a change. I bought a set of stock lly from 05chevy. It was one of the easiest transaction I've had. Quick communication along with a tracking number. The package arrived quickly...

    Rear entertainment screen

The rear screen is not working right. We can get sound but no picture. No remote or headphones were included when we purchased. Has anyone else had this experience? Do I need to replace the screen? I plan on buying a remote as trying to use the touchscreen in front to run the DVD is a huge...

    New SUV questions.

Not sure about the mileage we get. Could be the driver. Could just be the vehicle. Duramax trucks are all over the place on mileage too. Luck of the draw.
