    E35B Post-Flash Issue - Am I alone?

I received a response back from Paul again, saying they have absolutely no idea why changing that APP parameter value is causing an issue. My best guess is that it is changing the engine cal ID checksum to one that is unrecognizable, because when the corrupted file is installed, no tools I have...

    E35B Post-Flash Issue - Am I alone?

I narrowed it down today to an issue with their address for the APP expected voltage. Once in a great while, I was able to change the values and get the flash to fully take. Success rate was 2/12. Most times that I tried to recover the ecm with a stock file flash afterwards with EFILive, I was...

    E35B Post-Flash Issue - Am I alone?

Update: Dealing with Paul at EFILive on this issue has been frustrating to say the least. They have not been able to provide any answers as to why the modified file is still reporting codes that Editor is showing are "not reported." I have provided multiple trace files of flashes and reads and...

    Dynamite oval pattern injectors

I personally never had a problem with copper on anything exhaust related, however, I did prefer aluminum-based antisieze in high-heat industrial processes, from constant 600deg-2200deg applications for hundreds or thousands of hours between cycles, the copper based product would solidify/bake...

    2009 LMM Flashing issues

The first module in the HS Canbus branch to to the TCCM and a few other modules is the VCCM, which is the module Jason is talking about. It is a common failure point on gmt900 chassis. I don't think you'll find a new one in stock anywhere, so if you find that to be your issue, or one of them...

    E35B Post-Flash Issue - Am I alone?

So I flashed this truck with HPTuners yesterday, just to prove a point, and it worked fine, no issues, truck started. So I decided to try the 6/17 beta build of Efilive, and flashed in the newest version of my modified file, and the truck started and runs. Two issues I noted: I tried to read out...

    2009 LMM Flashing issues

My experience with that issue has been that a noisy bus is the most common cause of loss of communication in the middle of the flash. Is it happening during the programming phase or during the erase phase, or during the re-boot?

    Help please, dropped driveshaft

Guy really over-built those kickstands haha. Yes, if this route is taken, a reliable, properly maintained and inspected, manned piece of hoisting equipment is highly recommended.

    Help please, dropped driveshaft

I'm not saying this can be done by anyone, but if you have a reliable piece of hoisting equipment capable of lifting the rear end of the truck about 6ft in the air while you replace the extension housing, it can be done without taking the trans out. Transgel helps too.

    Harmonic balancer puller for 6.6

Yeah, the equipment I've seen rattle the standard hardware loose without locktite or safety wire are big grinders and reprocessing for scrap materials, which see a lot of variable load and vibration.

    Harmonic balancer puller for 6.6

I have certainly had some loosen up on large electric-driven machinery, but aerospace grade fasteners can be used and safety wired to prevent it. I feel like Banks' version of the fluidampr was made like this, but I could be misremembering.

    Harmonic balancer puller for 6.6

I've never once had a stock balancer that I needed a puller for, even after shearing the pin. Great ingenuity though!

    Lbz GPCM delete

Ok, so this is why having a schematic of the circuit and a diag procedure would be helpful to you. You would notice that many of the modules data comm circuits are in series, not parallel. So if you disconnect one in the middle of the "start" (DLC) and the "end(s)" (ECM and resistor in the...
