    Power wash engine bay

I have washed everything under the hood of my LBZ 100s of times. I’m not scared to give anything under there a once over with a 2000 psi or less pressure washer. Now I wouldn’t hang out spraying any of the above mentioned items or hit them with anything more than 2000 psi but I’ve never had a...

March '25 Chat -- Hurry up, Spring! We got things to do!

Almost everyone I know of around here has deleted their pickup/semi. A lot of guys deleting equipment too. Back went we still had supply chain issues after Covid we had a machine down for 6 months or more. It was so long we almost forgot about it. Finally the developer’s lawyers sent us a letter...

March '25 Chat -- Hurry up, Spring! We got things to do!

The repairs are under warranty, but that doesn’t do much good when it shuts you down for day/s and puts you behind schedule. I spent 2 weeks doing 1/2 our normal production while we did the parts swap game, because we couldn’t figure out what was wrong with 1 machine. It puts the dealers in a...

March '25 Chat -- Hurry up, Spring! We got things to do!

I was surprised to see DHD just settled for a $70,000 fine for their issues. I almost wonder if they wouldn’t have held out for a little while longer if they would’ve just not had to worry about it at all. At a certain point time you just want that shit behind you. I can’t imagine many shops...

    My 7 is undergoing surgery….

I bought some Denali style headlights from one of these two brands. I think it was TYC they’ve been on my truck for at least 10 years and look like new still. However, I’ve probably only put 30 or 40,000 miles on my truck in those 10 years and it’s in the garage if it isn’t being driven.

    Best upgrades for longevity

If the L5P is just like the the older trucks you going to have really high copper for up to 30kmiles due to the oil cooler. Cognito Braces to help the frontend last. I’m not a fan of catch cans. The oil vapor and moisture in the PCV will help clean the intake if you can do something about...

lag in acceleration on my LLY

The issues that could cause it are pretty well outlined in this thread already. What have you done to troubleshoot it so far?

    Mint 400 race today

Been that way a long time. Back in 2006 when I lived in SoCal a buddy and his wife had their suburban stolen while they were asleep in the back of it. They waited until the vehicle slowed down enough and bailed out the back. I heard stories of guys out there testing and they would dig pits that...

We call if the gulf coast, but it’s thesame thing. 80* in the mornings and windshield wipers just smear the dew because the humidity is so high it won’t evaporate.

    Cracked PPE up pipes common?

Ya mine are used from a member. So I'm SOL on that. Hopefully the fit way better 1fastbrick or I'm really not going to be happy. No way I try to fix new ones unless the return policy was up.

    Cracked PPE up pipes common?

I picked up a used set of PPE manifold's and up pipes from a member and found a crack in the driver's side up. They were on his triple turbo race truck. Is this what I have to look forward to if I install these as getting cracks repaired on them all the time? 210k miles on my factory ones and...

Another reason not to get involved....

I’m going to venture a guess that none of us are constitutional law experts. Even though many of us have probably attended the YouTube university about it. I’m not going to fight that battle most of the time. I’ve had my chance at that lucky I backed down and so did the cop. It saved us both a...

Another reason not to get involved....

There are some good videos out there from her bodycam. She put 2 fingers in the guard while removing the pistol. Then after shooting him switched hands and put her finger on the trigger again…. I’d lose my mind on that department. My feeling is she was new and being trained. The cops using that...

Why aren't L5P heads on older gen trucks?

Ya I called BS on them spooling 472 (or 476 I don’t recall) until I seen one do it. Of course 4 set of pistons later that guy was done with messing with the L5Ps.

Why aren't L5P heads on older gen trucks?

Yeah I guess I can see where that would make it a little less feasible. I wonder if Fleece or anyone has ever looked at making older head that bolts on but has the flow of a L5P. You wouldn't think it would be all that hard since the design is pretty much there minus making so it "bolts" on...

Why aren't L5P heads on older gen trucks?

Another thread got me thinking about this again. My understanding is one reason the L5P spool so well is because of the heads. I really figured by now people would be machining L5P heads or have their own castings with an L5P style ports. Is there really just not that much of an improvement in...

Injector Limit for Cast Oval Bowl Pistons???

That's exactly where my tune/truck is right now and it just hazes after limiting the fuel down low. I run a 12mm stroker. Truck feels lazy to me when it's tuned to run "cleaner". I think a lot that is the converter that's just to tight, but my transbuilder says it's the turbo...
