Old PPEI lbz twin turbo kit?

Anyone got a picture of one installed? Was it really PPEI who made them? I found a used one for sale for an LBZ. I'm curious what the layout looks like. Its got a new Bullseye Billet 480 with it. What's anyone think it's worth? I haven't seen much options for twin kits these days.

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

I guess I should have seen this coming but it looks like with these slotted these brake pads are gonna be dustier than I was hoping for. The pads are dust free on my 2022, buy not on my LBZ so far. I have been driving it pretty hard rebuilding my tunes after I crashed my tuning computer. Maybe...

April '26 Chat -- Play Ball!

I love Lightning and thunder. I grew up mostly in tornado alley and loved storm season. Surprisingly we get way more rain down here in the gulf coast but don't get nearly as much thunder and lightning. Accept during hurricane Ike there was some creepy ass lightning. It was almost like the...

April '26 Chat -- Play Ball!

My father-in-law retired like 4 times. LEO, school bus driver, picking up labs from Dr offices, and lastly he worked full-time basically for free at the blood bank. I hazarded to bet that place fell apart when he left almost. He did almost everything other than draw blood.

    Seriously?

Yeah put a nice little gouge in my wheel too. Didn't cost me as much as I thought it would think it was a 100 bucks for a new caliper and 70 for pads. Like a Boomer I still have AAA so the tow was "free". My boss told me to call up one of my mechanics and have them come out there and fix it. I...

    Seriously?

Well that isn't right.... After a year of the stupid brake pad wear light being on for a bad sensor I finely did a brake job and got rid of it. Just to have this happen. Caliper bolts back out for some reason. They where tight, but something happened. The slide pin was pretty stuck on this...

    Switchable mufflers

Anyone have any experience with these? Not sure I can justify the price, but it would go a long ways to may my truck more enjoyable for the family on long trips. I don't even know if I need something electronic even manually switching it would be fine...

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

God what I wouldn't give for growing up and having raised beds like that. I know we had way too big of garden to be doing that but I spent so much time on my hands and knees. I don't know how my Grandma did it.

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

Thank you for the kind words. The thoughts and prayers of people like you and around us keep us going. Because trust me I wasn't built this way. I had to change my ways and it never would have happened without my wifes help. She had a big enough heart and enough determination to see this...

March '26 Chat -- Madness is the Different Drummer

Well insurance has denied to extend our sons stay at the hospital any further. We have an appeal in, but the hospital doesn't sound confident. At this point he is due to be released on Friday. If the appeal is denied we will file to have a 3rd party review the claim, but that's going to take a...

How much is to much fuel pressure for hwy driving/mileage?

I remembered you talking about that and kept that in mind when I did my HGs. I don't remember what I was at for sure. I think used Bs and had 0.030 on one side and more on the other because I didn't want to buy 2 sets of HGs.

How much is to much fuel pressure for hwy driving/mileage?

I don't know how long it's been but my mileage has been in the crapper on my LBZ. 15 years ago when I would daily drive my truck with my tuning I could get 19mpg at 65mph and 17mpg at 75-80mph. Now days I might get 16mph at 65mph, 15mpg at 75mph, and 14 at 80mph. Not sure what's all the cause...

Lol we get some of that too. Come down here to the Gulf or any coastal city and see what salt water spray does. I started a demoing the Galveston Causeway and was done in 3 years. We had some brand new equipment mostly industrial generators, compressors and light plants when we started. That...

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

I actually did the 2 different rotors just cause I was being cheap and I was irritated the prices had gone up on the Delcos. So instead of researching to make sure I was going to get the right parts, good brand, and everything all over again. I just bought the 2 different ones I had already...

Fog lights want to install LED

I've been happy with Lasfit Leds. You're probably gonna have to fabricate your own light cut off so you're not blinding people. I made a thread about them that I will post a link too. https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/threads/leds-in-the-fogs-of-my-06-gmc-and-added-a-bulb-sheild.90121/

2014 Camaro SS LML Build Thread

You know I've never checked myself but I know we have a fuel cooler on these trucks for a reason. I wouldn't be surprised if the fuel wasn't over a 100° being returned. I know one of our members did some experiments a long time ago with better fuel coolers. If I remember correctly with a thermal...

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

Time for brakes and stainless brake lines. 215k and 20 years and I think I got may monies worth. The fronts might have made it 300k if it wasn't for the rust. The pedal feels really good however I'm still not sure stops anywhere near as good as the newer trucks. I was surprised to see I don't...

    Fuel rail pressure

I've had worse than that in my tanks, but I've fueled up out of drag up tanks. So I kind of expect it. I do run good dual fuel filters because of that. You might look at 1 of our supporting vendors like Brad for injectors. Not sure if you were gonna use LDS or not but I hear their service is...

    2500 vs 3500

No real advantage to a 3500 versus a 2500 if you're not going dually.
