I look at it like this. If there's uncertainty in the market. As a trader I'm not going to be in a big hurry to drop rates just to increase them again the next day. That just adds to uncertainty IMO. Just the se as they probably don't raise them with every little spike.

An interesting air to water intercooler

I saw this on a video about a car manufacturer in Europe. Pretty interesting set up. I'm sure the price is outrageous but I wonder how it works for diesel applications. Specially someone trying to be sneaky when you're not supposed to have air to water...

I'm pretty sure the filter head is higher than the pump. Instead of a pinhole I just put a valve on it into the gravity drain line into the filler neck for my Aux tank. Which helps me with my gravity dump. Sometimes the check valve will get stuck. So instead of shaking my truck or blowing out...

My pumps been on since 09 or earlier. Nope after the pump for the filter. Even after bleeding the fuel filters there's always an air pocket there that seems to migrate back to the pumps and cause cavitation. I have a fuel pressure gauge that has an alarm when it goes 0. I would regularly have...

    New toy

I had a 383 stroker in my 80' when I was 18. That poor truck didn't stand a chance. We put a lot of work into it, but I tore it up just as fast. My dad got fed up and hauled it to the scrapyard. It had bucket seats in a short bed from the factory we believe. Would have been a bad ass truck had...

Yeah I love the pumps , but I'm not super impressed with the controller or John either. I'm surprised you've had that many issues with it. I burnt one up a few years ago but it probably made it 13 years+. Although I think the one that I have now that's only 4 years old is giving me fits. I...

    03 LB7 Build

Ya I use Lambda to limit my smoke to an acceptable level to me. Then the truck seems to increase fueling in colder weather versus hot to still have the same Lambda. Since 6 months out of the year we're 90* plus and 90% humidity plus I'm always tuned for hot weather lol

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

I am looking at adding an oil temperature gauge and an exhaust back pressure gauge to my truck. I know we have a good thread on oil temperature, but I didn't see a lot about exhaust back pressure. Do I need exhaust back pressure more than just for tuning? I was thinking about maybe after I...

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

I was curious about that. I knew the sensor wasn't right but I didn't know if the LBZ one would just bolt in place. Even if I had to drill and tap new holes. Can you point me in the right direction? Am I looking for an adapter or are we cutting off this one and welding a new one on? I'm...

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

I had seen one of their ads recently. I wondered if they were any better then anything else. I'd definitely be running one of their dust bowl series just because this is can push me way over what's safe for my stock motor.

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

Yes has a race cover. Bullseye billet S480 with a 1.32AR Yes I'm gonna have to drill and trap a hole in the upper pan for the drain. I've seen a picture of it done toward the back on the right hand side of the pan. Is there anything that dictates where I drill and tap other than what's...

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

Looks like this kit has been sitting a while. Any concerns about the compressor wheel or cover? I'd be a little nervous to mess with the wheel but I could probably Polish the cover lightly.

Do I need an Oring or anything to seal the cross over pipe between the turbos? It came with the Vband clamps.

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

Well I pick up that used PPEI used twin turbo kit. So now I need to see what's missing. I have the missing Y bridge figured I believe. I need an air filter(suggestion?) and the fitting to put in the oil pan for the oil drain. Anyone else see anything?

Old PPEI lbz twin turbo kit?

I still want a rear exit. When I first did my exhaust I did an axle dump just to see what it was like. I had soot all over the bottom side of my truck and tailgate.

We pick my son up from the hospital yesterday. Insurance seems to think he has made enough progress he should be home and we need fine out patient services. However it takes weeks to get those setup. We feel like they set us up for failure. Insurance was trying to push him out the door as soon...

Old PPEI lbz twin turbo kit?

Yep. I bet it's the same one then. Was he selling it or what? The guy said it was on an LBZ and he bought it used to put on his LLY. That it would work on the LLY- LML. All he said he was going to have to do was change the Ybridge. I would think the cold site pipe would be wrong too.

    Switchable mufflers

I'm indifferent to it being loud except for when I am trying to talk on the phone or have family in the truck. It's more about performance for me vs cruising down the road with the family to me. I'm leaning more to adding twin turbo now. Of course that's a big rabbit hole to go down with its...
