Couple new additions to my LBZ
I started building a welding bed for my truck almost a year ago. I was finishing it up yesterday when it mysteriously fell over, smashing my custom fenders. I have 2 more being made as we speak. what engine oil should i use?
Rotella T6 and Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer, since it was new. I change it when the computer shows 15-20%. Just hit 181k miles. Idles smooth, no smoke and will run off and leave most vehicles on the road. It's also an LBZ..... ;-)- D-MAX Mafia

Ticking sound
As everyone else has said, the typewriter tick is super common. My LBZ has done it for the last 180k miles. Still running, sorry CoCo.....Those of us who have been around long enough know you don't need a piece of f¿©#in garden hose to "diagnose" the problem.- D-MAX Mafia

3500 dually control arm bushings
Front suspension is the same on a 2500HD & 3500HD. Your good to go. Hub (unit bearing) is the only thing that changes between a single wheel and dually.- D-MAX Mafia

This is just a glorified half ton. LQ9 6.0, 4L70E 4x4. I thought the Vortec Max had a 4L80E.... I was wrong. I had my diff guy put 4.56's in it to wake it up and exhaust is next. Probably gonna turbo it and throw a 6L90E behind it in a few years. I drove it to the doctor yesterday after work...- D-MAX Mafia

The 4094vgt tows very well. I pulled 10,000lbs in the city and open highway over the summer talking loads of scrap steel to the recycler. Even with outside temps at 115°+ and stop and go driving I had no issues. I have Mark's billet wheel in there with stock sticks and cp3. I want to jump up...- D-MAX Mafia

LMM Oil change
I get 6-7k miles between changes. You can go to 10k, I don't but you can. Lately I have only been driving a few miles a day. I went 8 months before I changed the oil. LMM Oil change
Yeah 15-40 or 5-40 full synthetic. I run Rotella T6 5-40 with a quart of Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer and either a Mobile 1 or Bosch oil filter. Oil changes are expensive but it beats going cheap and replacing the motor. I change my oil when the computer gets to 20% oil life. 175k miles with...- D-MAX Mafia

I think the new Chevy looks awesome! I prefer a true crew cab though. The new Rams are nice but I really like the interior of the new GM trucks.
