    Sac 65

I've put in 3 sets of LDS SAC45 (new not reman) injectors in the last 4 years and had 0 issues. Did a set last week on my personal Suburban. I am able to run the same tune file with the same result on all 3 rigs, so the set-to-set consistency seems really good. The matching between injectors in...

    LB7 LML Allison 1000 conversion & swap

I recall my transmission guy saying there's one additional hole drilled in the separator plate vs. a 5 speed. If you have access to a Suncoast conversion you could pull it apart and see where and how big that hole is. Sent from my CPH2655 using Tapatalk

Need help with a LB7 / LBZ conversion truck in SW NY state.

Didn't James or someone just report a similar issue where a truck wouldn't run despite all signs pointing to it working and it turned out the diesel was mostly water and wouldn't burn? I wonder if something similar is happening here? Sent from my CPH2655 using Tapatalk

Scan logs not populating correct rail pressure

It looks like your log file is in PSI (SAE) but the tune table is in MPa (Metric). I believe they both have to match to highlight correctly. Sent from my CPH2655 using Tapatalk

    Rearview Mirror

Is the problem it dims randomly, or the display will turn off or start flickering? The flickering/rebooting display is very common, and I usually just get a lower mile mirror on eBay. They are all made by Gentex, and if you search for the Gentex part number (should be on the front/windshield...

Need help with a LB7 / LBZ conversion truck in SW NY state.

As long as one of them tracks the actual pedal position, then I think you're good. I just saw it pegged at 100% and thought it might be your problem if so. Otherwise I'm out of ideas, sorry. Sent from my CPH2655 using Tapatalk

Need help with a LB7 / LBZ conversion truck in SW NY state.

Hang on, is the throttle position always reading 100%? On the gassers, and I seem to recall this also on my LB7, if the throttle is held at 100% during cranking it won't fire the injectors. With the key on, have him observe throttle position with EFILive vs the pedal. Should be able to get it...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

Alas, the oil pressure sensor is working properly. Pulled it out, saw a spec of sealant near the port, but it was just debris from removing it. I tested the sensor with compressed air and 60 PSI of air read 60 PSI on the dash. Cleaned the sensor, cleaned the port in the block, and reinstalled...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

I suppose we will find out as soon as I get to the bottom of this. I figure it has a chance of working if that is what Melling says to do. Sent from my CPH2655 using Tapatalk

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

Yes, I replaced the original oil pump with a Melling 10296 high-flow oil pump. I followed Melling's recommended alignment procedure (bolts in finger tight, rotate engine 360°).

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

I did unplug and re-connect the sensor with no change. If the sensor does turn out to be bad, I will stick a new GM one in (because that worked so well the first time) and also add an aftermarket pressure+temperature in the side of the block like NC-smokinlmm mentioned. I got a mechanical gauge...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

I've been having fun with it so far. A bit cheaper than modding the blue truck, and the goal is I race something cheaper to break, so I suppose I'm achieving that goal LOL Now that you mention it, I do believe the supercharger is the MP112. I ended up replacing the intercooler pump with a...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

Just picked it up, now back to the farm. An oil sample isn't a bad idea, but I don't have a baseline for this engine. Driving it on the trailer and it only made 20 PSI on a cold start and quickly fell off after driving it the 20' onto the trailer. Still sounds perfect, which gives me a glimmer...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

I did leave the original, worn cam bearings in, so it is possible they had enough. I'm going to pick it up from the track today, but I probably won't have time to drain the oil or cut open the filter. Oil level on the dipstick is normal, and no shiny or metallic color, looks like nice clean...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

Hmm, it does have that plastic "barbell" at the back of the block, which is original. My understanding is if that failed it would just bypass the oil filter, but I will read up on that. I don't believe it has anything in the oil pan itself. Forgot to mention, the engine sounds perfectly normal...

    2003 LQ4 (6.0L) Low Oil Pressure

tl;dr I was drag racing my 2003 Denali with an old Maggie and on the 3rd pass of the day, it dropped oil pressure during 2nd gear. Normally holds 70 PSI above 4000 RPM, but it dropped to 50 PSI for the rest of the run. Normal hot idle is 30 PSI, now is 6-7 PSI. So, taking all bets: what...

Alternator staying on. Running a single Alt using second Alt trigger wire?

Subscribing since my Duraburb started doing this EXACT same thing (down to the same 1.2V and buzzing noise when the key is off), but usually only when it is cold outside. So very curious if moving a pin and turn off some DTCs is all that I need to do to fix it. Keep us posted! Sent from my...

    Bypassing the FICM

I bypassed the fuel going through my FICM and left it on the engine with no I'll effects for 50k miles and counting. But I agree, the issue probably isn't the FICM leaking, but the fittings, which is easy to fix with new crush washers. Sent from my FlashScan V2 using Tapatalk

December '24 Chat -- Merry Christmas, Ya Filthy Animals!

I created a calibration curve for the tank, feel free to download it and give it a try: https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/threads/s-b-10-1023-lb7-calibration.87342/ You could always simply scale the stock curve to the correct number of gallons and it should be pretty close too.
