    If your gauge sensor is near the turbo outlet, the an 8 psi loss (head losses) are very reasonable. This isn't the most efficient plumbing. Also, KS isn't sea level, closer to 14.0 psi atmospheric.

    as stated, they are 2 different readings for the same pressure. One is absolute pressure, one is gauge pressure, which subtracts ambient atmospheric pressure.

    Tom, Search within your EFILive files for the "calc.pids" file. Take a look at it. If you want an example of one that has a few useful pids added, email me and I will send you one to compare. The PID's that I find most useful are mixture related PID's.

    You will want to have notification of overboost, to save equipment in the event of a malfunction, wastegate or otherwise. Having a fairly accurate boost table, and keeping the disparity table stock, along with some of the DTC's will preserve this.

    Increase your rail pressure by 5 MPA in the areas that you are seeing smoke under no-load conditions. You may need to refine your pulse table to fix the loping that emerges. Specifically in the 0-10 mm3 range.
