    Trans Line options

I had wondered about this as well. With the lines being steel and not as malleable as copper, would the flare tend to split?

    Trans Line options

I've been thinking about going to the CAT dealer near home since they make hydraulic lines "while you wait". I just need to see if they can weld the fittings to the hard lines. I'm kinda hesitant to use any compression fittings for fear they might come loose and fall off. I don't have doubts I...

    Trans Line options

I've found a few of them too but can't where anybody has used them. Or at least, spoken about using them.

    Trans Line options

I'm needing to replace my leaky trans lines. I'm looking at the options of full length flexible lines or shorter length lines with compression fittings. Looking for advice on which might be the best option. I've never been a fan of compression fittings but I don't like the idea of the full...

    Rear Leaf spring noise

For the last week, I've noticed a clunking noise coming from the rear of my truck. When I say rear, I mean the back half. The noise is only when I go over a speed bump or any kind of depression or irregularity in the road surface at an angle. I had been thinking it was my receiver wobbling back...

Kryptonite ultimate front end package stage 3

I'm "patiently" waiting on my KRYPTONITE Stage 3 with their death grip idler kit to be delivered tomorrow by UPS. Also ordered their extended sway bar end links. Got an appointment to have alignment done at 9 on Friday AM. :woott: Hope it all makes it here on time. Then tires shortly after...

    Cracks me up

I'm a believer in tinted windows too. I think the UV protection helps things like dashboards and interiors from deterioration. And in general last longer. Not to mention, I don't feel like I'm driving around in a fishbowl with tinted windows. I have a 07 Classic 1500 Z71 and my 07 LBZ. I don't...

Kryptonite ultimate front end package stage 3

Thanks Wally. I'm looking to get either the Ultimate Idler Arm ($99) or the stage 3 kit has an option for the Krytonite Death Grip idler arm ($200). I've seen recently where the guy making the ultimate idler is going out of business so I'm considering the $200 option. I saw the same extended...

Kryptonite ultimate front end package stage 3

I've got a couple of parts going bad in my front end. My tires are nearly worn out and have been planning to replace them pretty soon. Before new tires, I need to fix my steering issues. I'm looking at the KRYPTONITE stage 3 setup at the dmax store. Any concerns I should be aware of before...

    Miles per year

I bought my LBZ this past June with 62k. It will turn 80k when I drive from VA to TN for turkey day in a few weeks. My twice monthly trips home to FL from VA sure help load up the odometer. I normally do 45-50k per year. I feel like I live at gas stations.

    Remote Starter install

I have a Viper 5706V with the 2-way remote. Too cheap to pay the subscription for the Smart Start option. That also requires a second module. I have my (driver side only) heated seat connected and I can turn that on from the remote too. :D That's the best part. Still gotta remember to turn the...

    LBZ: Service Brake System

The problem is trying to find out if that IS the problem. Like anybody, I'd sure hate to spend the money on a repair if it didn't fix the problem....... Thanks for the help!

    LBZ: Service Brake System

Thanks for the reply Rancelot. My scanner can monitor the ABS. It shows no faults. Once I clear the ghost code, nothing shows up again until i shut the truck down and start it back up. Then go thru the cycle all over again. I drove the truck from FL to VA yesterday. No issues till this stop in...

    LBZ: Service Brake System

Driving on I-95 yesterday, I stopped for an extended break at a rest area. No towing. When I restarted my truck, the "Service Braking System" was displayed in my DIC. Also, the ABS and brake lights were on. I got my code scanner from my toolbox and plugged it in. It showed no codes for the ABS...
