    If you don’t have fuel at your blender by the filter you found your problem? Just have to figure out why it isn’t getting there. Did it die on you or just walked out while out and it was dead.

    What is your “budget?” Are we talking $50 or $350? I have a Topdon artidiag lite and it’s a pretty good one, about $300. I keep a elm327 on me everywhere and have a few good phone apps that work surprisingly well.

    What’s the Gvwr? Your pin weight is 17.5% of the empty weight. Multiply 17.5% by the gvwr and you’ll get a better idea of loaded pin weight. What’s your payload? My trailer has a pin of 2600 and dry of 13.6k and like 3200 max. I was towing with my f250 and it was ok until I hit some nasty wind...
