Here's a link to my build: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/76-speciality-forums/218-vans/925338-2000-express-3500-hightop-lbz-allison-sas.html There may be some reference material in it for you. I'm working mostly front axle install/suspension/steering/motor mounts now.

Yeah, I haven't decided how much I want to cut out of my donor yet. After I mock it up with the body lift I'll make that decision. I spent the weekend pulling the cab loose on the cutaway van so that I could get to all the van specific duramax stuff (and got most of that swapped on to my new...

Body mounts are rubber injected/molded assy very similar in makeup to a motor mount. All the guys doing Duraburb conversions are using nylon body lift spacers (tapered from front to rear to get rid of the nose down stance) with no issues. I'm thinking something in the 1.5" range will make life a...

Just for gear indication? Why not use a Edge CTS2 Monitor so that you can watch everything and plug in boost and egt probes?

I agree, get rid of all the egr related stuff, cut the extension off the passenger up pipe and cap it (I'm going to install my egt probe there).

That is the 4L80e bracket. The Allison bracket is more elaborate. The back of it is shown in this picture. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-2002-5-Speed-2WD-Allison-1000-Transmission-Silverado-Sierra-Duramax-Diesel-/221804544638?hash=item33a494c27e:g:EbgAAOSwls5Y69Ep&vxp=mtr

That's the Fuel Cooler, cools the injector return fuel (it gets pretty hot being cranked up to 20,000psi). I plan to relocate mine to the front side of the fuel tank (where all the evap stuff is for the gas engines). But if you're staying 2wd it can probably stay were it is.

Nothing; the 6sp Allison was redesigned with all of that inside it. You will need the 4th gen allison TCM and wiring harness from it to the transmission.

probably just going to make one out of nylon round stock. Then extend the steering shaft as necessary.

I've considered the same, but looking closely at the Edge Insight CTS, I like that you can add sensors and you can use it for a back up camera display. I'd sure like to find a way to get to all the DIC data though..

I think the Kodiak cluster only swaps with the 03 and up dash. I'm looking at the possibility of using the 06 pickup cluster and modifying the lens from the 2000 van cluster to make it fit the dash interface...it is a bit wider but I think it's doable..

I pulled the gear lever and detent plate off my pickup donor column, as well as the steering wheel and clockspring, I'm curious if they will all swap over to my 2000 van column...? Those torx screws are in there...I broke two bits before getting one of them out!
