    06 Tahoe body lbz chassis

There are a few ways to handle the dual a/c connection, just look through some of the duraburb builds and pick the one that works best for you. If you use the truck front clip/core support then intercooler mounting is no issue..

    06 Tahoe body lbz chassis

swapping the "cateye" LBZ front clip would be the easiest, the 06-07 classic duramax silverados use a taller hood than the previous versions to allow for the bigger cooling stack. Stay with the truck UHFB and both the forward and rear light harnesses. Definitely incorporate a lift pump while...

    06 Tahoe body lbz chassis

Looks like he did a nice job with fab/install of the new body mounts and relocating the rear suspension mounting. Getting the spring mounts off without mangling them and relocating (so that they are square) is a fair amount of work. I don't mind the metal fab projects but lots of guys don't want...

    New guy with van addiction

Brooks (the engineers) and I email occasionally, he's been working other stuff and getting his shop set up to get back on this over the winter, as of last week he said he hadn't made any further progress on the van.

    06 Tahoe body lbz chassis

go to the gmupfitter website and look in the body builder section and compare the drawings of the frames (particularly the elevations/contours) and how that will effect your ability to put body mounts where they need to be.

    2002 Tahoe swap

Using a duramax silverado front clip would make it even easier..

    08 tahoe body on 07 2500 frame?

08 body runs on GM Low Speed Data, 06 body runs on Class 2 data...you would have to change a lot (ECM, TCM, ABS module, 4x4 module, etc...) to make it work

    06 Tahoe body lbz chassis

This forum has the most depth in Duraburb, Durahoe, Durakon, Duralade conversions there is: https://www.dieselplace.com/forum/63-gm-diesel-engines/374-frankenstein/ It will come clear to you that the majority of advise you get will be to stay with the tahoe chassis and just move the 2500...

LBZ to 2011 GMC 2500 swap

You'll still have to have EGR and DPF turned off in the LMM ECM but there's lots of tuners out there that can do it for you.

LBZ to 2011 GMC 2500 swap

There's a lot of "it depends" that play into this. Are you doing EGR delete? If so all you would have to do is get an LMM MAF and connector and modify the LBZ harness. From what I understand the LBZ will run fine with the LMM ecm if you make the MAF change and turn off both the EGR and DPF...

LBZ to 2011 GMC 2500 swap

You would have to run an LMM ECM/TCM to get to a system that supports GMLOWSPEED data vs the Class2 Data that the LBZ ECM/TCM work on. Probably a few other wires to be moved around. You'd never be able to register/sell it in a market that has any kind of emissions inspections.

    lly or lbz?

This thread has good info about going from early LB7 to LLY. https://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65573 Staying LLY would work better if you are using the older 5sp Allison. If you go LBZ then get the whole donor package and the 6sp trans.

    59 Apache Duramax

Some old school / patina graphics in a contrast color would look great with that finish.

    59 Apache Duramax

Those dual front head light Apache trucks and Corvettes of the same year are my favorites of all the chevy vehicles produced...great project!

2005 LLY Swap into 2003 LB7 Cold Intake Problem

You will probably have to change your MAF voltage table, the difference is usually enough to kick a CEL.

    03 h2 with lbz. Transfer case ?

I can't say I've looked specifically into this but I'd imagine you could swap the 29spline input from the NP263xhd into an NP246, you'd probably have to do some legwork on bearing sizing and engagement depth..

okay...that's a different story...there's a good chance that it is a D60 then...my bust...I thought you had a 3500 donor. You can for sure tell by pulling the cover and getting the part number off the ring gear...dana 50/60/70 all share a common diff cover..

    New guy with van addiction

Well, I've heard that there was some full floating 9.75" rears out there(in gas powered express/savanas) but I've yet to see/hear of one in a 3500 duramax...you can look at your RPO label on the passenger door jam and check the codes that start with an "H" and that should tell the tale. The...

If it's full floating it will be a 70S(10.5" ring gear), it doesn't have the extra rib structure to be a 70HD (10.75" ring gear)
