Lost 5th gear
Buddy has an 03 zf truck. This last weekend he was driving it and went to go to 5th and there was nothing. Pulled back on the shifter a little harder and 5th gear is there just off a little. No start after engine build/ lly into lb7 swap p0340 u1000
I forgot to mention we swapped engine harnesses because we opened this one up and reloomed it and cleaned it up. Then we swapped truck side harnesses. We tried 3 ecms. 2 tcms. And this finally worked (hopefully) -

So we swapped the cam sensor for the 5th time to one out of an lly, not lbz (same part number I believe) and so far it has continued to start time after time. Hopefully that was the fix. Fingers crossed -

Just did some finessing and it started. Shut it off and it will not start again p0340 or p0341. That's the only ones I could see keeping it from starting -

So I have been messing with this truck for a couple days and I'm stumped. It's a 2003 and swapped it to a lly top end and harness when we built it. We did away with all of the glow plug wiring and controller when we built it. Getting p0340 and truck won't start. Started out we couldn't get... -

Immediate coolant pressure
Update. Went to drain coolant. Undid the clip at the radiator and very little coolant cane out. Didn't even drain the overflow. Undid big hose from overflow and drained all the coolant out into a bucket from that hose. Refilled the system and I cannot get coolant into the lower hose. It's all... -

I hope I posted this in the right section. Anyways, I purchased a truck that has extensive block damage that I wasn't expecting. I have an LML short block sitting here I was going to put in it. I know the oil drain on the rear cover is different, and the spacing of the front cover is different...- DylOrr

Brian Crower rod discussion
Cluttering up the thread but local truck to me was built with crowers back in 2010, has been through a few motors for different reasons (piston failure, crank failure) and still has the rods in them. It should make north of 1000 now with a s475/thumper 98mm twin kit and still hasn't had an issue...- DylOrr

converting 2wd 6 speed trans to 4wd
I'm purchasing a parts truck that is 2wd, and I am needing to convert the trans to 4wd for my use. I have a spare 5 speed for parts and I was wondering if I can unbolt the tail housing out of the 5 speed with the output shaft and planetary on it and swap it onto the 6 speed. Thanks- DylOrr
