    Mitusa failure???

I you keep the pump, I would rig up a small FF/WS before the mitusa to catch any trash or water before it goes through the pump. I really doesnt alot of debris going through the pump to create pumping losses.

    Mitusa failure???

A gear pump is a very simple thing. Either the pump is bypassing internally or its sucking air. Does it have a pressure relief? Do you have a filter before the mitusa? If the pump is junk, you have trash in your fuel, the pump is not getting enough lubrication from the fuel, or its a cheapy pump...

    What Did I Miss?

Been out of the loop for the past six months. Being a new Dad and a promotion at work has left me with no time for hobbies I used to enjoy soo much. My truck is still alive. I have not done a single thing to it but drive the wheels off it. I have put 5,000 miles on it in six months! That is more...

LB7: 2003 LB7 Hard start when warm then stalling/no start

Install a section of clear tubing on the outlet side of the filter housing. If air is the culprit you will see air bubbles in the fuel. IMHO air is not your problem. Your symptoms sound like high injector return rates. I would perform a fuel return test. You can also put a long hose on the...

    1,000,000 mile Dmax

I bought my 06 with 200k on it and it was bone stock. Everything in the front end was original and still in good shape. I put wheels and bigger tires and cranked the bars a little and the front end was wiped out in 5k. I guess if you leave them like the general made them they can last a long time!

Whats the hot gauge setup nowadays?

Spek are the highest quality gauges made. They use electric pressure and temperature sensors. If money is not an issue I would go with them. If you can find a set of old diprocals they are very nice also.

    Turbo Help

Log vane position. See what its doing. Then smack the exhaust housing with a big hammer. Sounds like the vanes are stuck open. I have a 05 lly Turbo that I will let go cheap if you need it Derek.

Motor looks great and I love the attention to detail. Looks like you are going to have alot of fun with that setup. I wanted to do the exact same thing to my motor but in white. Just couldn't spend that much money on powdercoating.:thumb:

Digital Torque Wrench - Member Special

Yes, Cat uses alot of torque to yield bolts in big engines, drivetrain and undercarriage. But to be 100% honest most big tty bolts I will achieve pretorque then torque turn with a hytorque or 3/4" or 1" impact. I just don't have enough meat on me to turn those bolts, and I would feel bad putting...
