    Well I finally talked to someone at carrillo. They have changed the design since and they could custom make me new ones (4 minimum). Looks like I’m buying new rods.

    I’m not sure on which ones I have they all have a faint hand engraved number on them but those are the only numbers I can find.. I’ll have to look again and see if any of the numbers match the part numbers on the website…. And like you said I’ll probably just end up taking them to a machine shop...

    Seems about impossible to get a hold of anyone at Carrillo after e mails and countless phone calls I still can’t reach anyone. And I think I’m definitely going forged. I sent the crank to shaftech in findlay Ohio to get checked out not too far from wagler. I might just send it to them have them...

    So I’m going to start getting my parts list together… I pulled 6 perfectly good Carrillo rods out I was thinking what your guys thoughts are on reusing those 6? Can I just order 2 or do they need to be ordered in a set? Should I even reuse them or go a different route?

    LBZ wire harness repair?

    I just looked at the prices of a used harness on eBay they really went up I just sold a used lbz harness a year or so ago for $300… I’m not sure about the glow plug connector but if you have a local junk yard go look at different gm vehicles I bet you can find the same connector for the coolant...

    Pulled the injectors today the one on the right was in the hole that let go.. I had blow by all over the valve cover o ring was gone and the end was loose if you look close you can see the body is swelled on it.

    So I happened to come across a free lbz block but it has already been bored 40 over and it looks like it sat for a long time.. I guessing it would need bored again. Is it worth/safe going any bigger or should I just junk it and find another one?

    There is just about nothing left of the rod other then the cap and about an inch of the beam if that… I wouldn’t ever think I made enough power to break a corrillo rod.

    Started pulling the engine couldn’t turn it over the whole way to get the converter bolts so I was able to reach my hand in the hole and pulled this out

    I’m guessing a piston the wrist pin was laying on the skid plate with a bunch of chunks of aluminum broke both sides of the upper oil pan. I didn’t get to see any of the parts laying on the track.

    Went to the track Saturday and didn’t end well… happened right at the top end trapped 133mph made for a very sketchy stop.. had mahle Motorsports cast pistons corrillo rods and Callie’s crank. Guess I have a winter project now.
