Sad thing is, it wasnt that long ago that concrete was $95/yd at the place on my route. The things I should've done.......

    PPE lift pumps

Holley-style pumps always made noise, most of it is resonance from the way they mount. See if you can add a thicker/softer rubber isolator to the pump mount.

    Fixing my LBZ/ truck build

It's been a long time since I've seen a Trippen Mount. Most people now have no idea what a big deal they were.

We were talking new driveway this year, but after three quotes well over $30k, it may not happen. I just have to bite the bullet, so-to-speak. Wife still wants an addition built, but she and I can never agree on size or design. I did some crawlspace spelunking yesterday. Had to reroute the...

Every month, you West Coast guys give me crap. Don't you ever sleep out there? So, we talked about vacations last month. What kind of house projects have you all got lined up for 2026?

Oh man...had to do some crawlspace spelunking today to reroute our outdoor faucet. Good news.....I learned how to install pex tubing, and it doesn't leak. :) Bad news.....I'm realizing I'm getting too old and out of shape to do work like that. But the wife is happy, and that's what matters.

Thanks guys. Ive been looking the past couple days. Lots of Chevys, not so many GMCs. Lots of rust, huge exhaust tips, lifts, huge tires, or tasteless body mods. Good god, this second gen of Dmax owners are awful. or I can pay $30000+.....

Not sure if any of you follow this, but Union Pacific is sending their "Big Boy" locomotive on a tour east to end up in Philly for the 250th. https://www.up.com/about-us/history/steam/schedule I'm planning to drive down to Ohio to see it on June 7th. It's a once-ever opportunity.

Im never going to touch another EPA-era diesel truck again. Ever. Give me an old GMT-800 body and LB7/LLY/LBZ and I'd be happy. I know that generation inside and out.

Bought a Sierra as Donortruck - now he stay

You have no idea. Look at trucks that have lived their whole lives in Michigan. Rockers and cab corners rust from the inside out on these trucks.

Add in roughly $1000 for plane ticket, uber/taxi to wherever the truck is. My time is not an issue. Driving back isnt a problem. But there IS the problem with the truck being misrepresented, dishonest seller, etc.....which is becoming more and more commonplace.

Yeah, GM 3.6. I know all about the timing chain failures on the first-gen 3.6s, and the rep the first-gen Ecoboosts had. Just wondering if those issues had been minimized by 2016. Thanks for the insight, guys. Boy, if I could just find an LBZ that wasnt a rusty pile of junk with 400,000...

    2002 FE9

Ive always been suspicious of MevoTech. This kind of story just backs up my thoughts. Only part Ive ever used from them is the lower control arm for that Regal I rebuilt, and only bc it was solid metal with no joints.
