The k&n filter can definitely have an effect on the maf readings and should be avioded, that issue has been beat to death over the years on here with guys having issues with k&n or any oiled type...

Yes ficm dry about 7ish years now even in AZ, it never needed fuel.going through it that was stupid on GM's part. I deleted that first after one of those lines leaked years ago.

I deleted all of that crap, deleted the filter head, fuel going through the ficm and test port. Ran a line straight from sump to cp3. Deleted return hard lines in the valley and tied everything...

Spray foam is the most cost effective and easiest route. Just have a company come in and spray it, as long as you make everything easily accessible it's fairly inexpensive. Just had my shop roof done...
