2023 1500 Duramax brakes

My buddy has a 2024 3.0 with 70k miles and is on his third set of brakes, most of the miles are highway.

What's the best brakes and rotors that are quiet and last? He put AC Delco on the second time and duralast this time and hates them. He tows a large boat quite often as well

What about the power stop z36? I've always ran AC Delco with no issues, he claims both set he ate through were AC Delco ceramic pads.

Factory pads seem to give the longest life. At least from what I’ve ran. He’s probably just that aggressive on the brakes. He could add cooling to the brakes and that’ll make them last longer. Or getting larger rotors.

We use akebono or ac delco oe. Make sure he’s using oe, not professional or gold or something.
