    LBZ for donor???

is it 4x4? is the frame rust free? $5500 would be tall...but for a well maintained/125k mile full donor chassis you're not going to get hurt on that too bad...If the chassis has the wheelbase that works for you as a donor then you're getting a lot for the money...I'd come at it at maybe $4500...

    2.8l duramax in a tj?

small wheelbase stretch in the rear would solve that and most guys with built TJs do that anyways.

    2.8l duramax in a tj?

plenty of automatic tj's with the 4.0 which is a long I-6, the I-4 mini-duramax wouldn't be any longer than that. If you are really wanting to wheel it the modern auto's are a better fit..

    2.8l duramax in a tj?

why not stick with the auto? They are a hellavu lot better on the trail than a manual, particularly if you're running anything serious/technical..

Going to do the forbidden... Duramax in a dodge

The duramax/allison is paired(from GM) with an NP261xhd manual or 263xhd electric case, they have specific larger diameter 31spline shafts vs the more common smaller 32spline. At 440k you need to rebuild the turbo, replace the injectors, glow plugs, and cp3 pump, replace the water pump and while...

Going to do the forbidden... Duramax in a dodge

You will lose a lot by going stand alone...and there is no chance you will use the CTD sensors on the duramax to get guages unless you plan to run two full sets of computers...all of that is just data going between the ecms and body computers.. I can tell you that just going from a 2000 chevy...

Going to do the forbidden... Duramax in a dodge

no reason to disable abs...both chevy and dodge use AAM for axles, the tone rings are the same. I have a Ram3500 front axle in my chevy express conversion and the abs works fine. Integrating the chevy dash cassette/hvac into the dodge cab would be the toughest part...engine/trans mounts arent...

    Towing trouble..

Have you had the pan off at all? sounds like low line pressure, maybe the filter seal failed or filter is damaged/dislodged? Are you 100% the level is good?

Sure, are you just doing straight 2wd swaps or going 4wd also?

    LBZ pedal connector

I'd ditch that stock intake manifold/heater assy and just use one of the aftermarket EGR delete intake tubes, you'll probably have to customize the connection to the intercooler anyways so you're going to want something that's easy to modify.

    LBZ pedal connector

I remove the alternator and a/c compressor and use those mounts, I only move it with the trans still on so you'll have to sort out the rear connection.

    LBZ pedal connector

Depending on how many miles on the duramax there's a few jobs to do on it while it's out and easy to work on you might consider. For sure while you have the flexplate off the back, replace the rear main seal. If it has more than 125k waterpump and front main seal as well. If it ran with the egr...
