    Snap On vs. Autel

And the cost of having these tools on hand is why good Indy shops should not be afraid to charge appropriately. The cost of tooling up a good indy mechanic is at least 3x the cost of tooling up a dealer tech. The education takes longer and costs more too. Indys should charge at least what their...

    Snap On vs. Autel

I gotta say that the tablet itself for the Ultra is faster than the Zues. The diag software is slower for the Ultra because it has so much more capability and is trying to load from the cloud. The Zues is a little more standalone from the cloud, but doesn't have the options the Autel has

    Snap On vs. Autel

Maybe I haven't found it yet, but anything that needs to be coded with NCSExpert, the Ultra cannot do.

    Snap On vs. Autel

I have the same situation. I've been playing with the Ultra a little bit, and as much as I don't like the Zues or Snapon's preloaded BS, the ultra just doesn't cut the mustard for me. I want something better for standalone use off the grid. I may try a topdon. The Zues leaves A LOT to be desired...

    Brake issue

For what little it may be worth, I have not had good luck with Napa brake products in towing rigs. Premiums, fleet, didn't matter- they fade very quickly and feel like I'm trying to stop the rotors with ice cubes compared to even the Carquest Frontline brakes for a budget brake job on a tow rig...

Well there goes my chances of 9s this year

There are certain types of misalignment when they leak prolifically though. You have to be smart about where you place them in relation to any suspended weight, etc.

    Intercooler boot o-ring

MA sells them. Or if you have a good Parker store around you, you can match it up with them. Or you can measure it yourself and order online

    L5P Coolant drain and fill

The oil cooler housing is about as low and back as it gets. If you really are concerned about draining all of it, I'd drain from there.

    Cracked piston

With the current poor available of parts, your best value and time-sensitive options are to swap in a good low mile Longblock or buy a budget build from DHD.

    Trying to locate a vibration

It could be your output shaft bearing, or the bearings in your transfercase as well. As bearings wear and tolerances increase, their resonant frequency changes.

Efilive as a business, is a joke these days. Best thing we can hope for is a buyout from a young enthusiast.

    Trans build slow shifts

Valves dragging, weak trim solenoids, cross leaks, low voltage at the solenoids, all can cause this, in addition to some other things...

Looking for Allison build/install options near Virginia.

Call Evan at Inglewood Transmission and ask who his dealers/installers are in your area. I know of a few down there, but they are a few hours from you. Best just get the info from the source.

    T87 Swaps

This is correct, they just built them with a50s until they ran out.
