So this is what I have. Am I missing anything to take it to the 1000HP mark and 10's?

Carrillo rods. Stock cut, coated and relieved LB7 pistons. ARP head and main studs. 6460 SoCal cam. Keyed crank. SoCal Damper. 100% over injectors. Stage 1.5 SoCal heads. SoCal pushrods. SoCal injector hold downs. SoCal flywheel. PPE dual fuelers. Dual Kennedy Pumps. SoCal in tank pickup. S366 over a S480 from Fleece Performance. *And obviously everything has been balanced. *

I just want to do this right the first time around. As it sits now the motor is a long block. What else do you guys think I need?

Thanks!

Nick

Stage 1.5 SoCal heads as far as I know they are only on sweetdiesel's (Simon's) Abby they are a kind of one off thing.

I am not sure the Dual Kennedy Pumps would but the best for this setup.

There are a few sets of 1.5s out there.... Think guy said mine was the 3rd set of heads he did. Regardless they will work!

I agree on the kd pumps though but that's just my opinion

How much does the truck weigh? And what tires and traction bars do you have?
McRat posted a " recipe for 10s " a while back.

Biggest thing will be air a nice size twin combo or n2o

Set up and driver will will make or break 10s with that setup. IMO i would just put valve springs on your stock heads, and spend the extra money on a larger charger than a s480, that will put you there easier with the fuel you have, with the 42/55 combo i did 10.70s with just 60%over injectors.

I *think* the 1.5s are same as the stage 2s with exception to the size of the valves. The 1.5s use stock size where as the 2 uses bigger ones. My understanding is the porting & springs et al are the same. Maybe someone can verify?

As to the OP's question... Is your oil pump in good shape? Addressed the possible water pump issues? And I agree with the others, I'd go for a better lift pump setup and a 510 instead of the 480 might help. :D if fleece says the 366/480 will go 1000 then it probably will. They seem to have a pretty good grasp on chargers. ;)

I know of a set of twins 66/88 not sure if they sold yet but can ask if your looking. Only ran I would say 5k miles tops. Maybe 8 runs on the strip.

Sorry for the late reply guys.

Yeah I'm sure I have Stage 1.5 heads. They came off of Maxed Out. I had them looked over and they check out. I figured my Kennedy's wouldn't be sufficient but I just wanted to see what you guys thought. I would like to go bigger with the turbos but as of right now these are new and I don't have the extra budget to go bigger. I understand that EGT's can get high for a 10 second run but as long as I can do two runs in the 10 sec. range I'll be happy.

Thanks!

No way! No lowering my truck. I know everyone is going to say to lower it but that is not an option. I want 10's with my truck lifted the way it is with a set of slicks.
