drain filter into a glass container. let it sit for a bit and see if water seperates from it

This.

Water is heavier, it will sit at the bottom.

1) Get clear bottle, a plastic water bottle works.

2) Loosen plastic nut at top, this is the bleeder. Use a wrench, not a flat blade screwdriver.

3) Hold bottle at bottom nipple, then twist nipple fins until fuel flows.

4) Fill bottle then shut nipple drain.

5) Pump the round metal pump on top until fuel starts to flow out the top.

6) Tighten bleeder.

7) Pump the pump until it feels hard.

8) It will take about 1 minute for the truck to start sometimes. Like 60 seconds - a long time. Be patient.

Pretty sure the switch is normally open. Mines unplugged and laying in the driveway, no WIF light on.

correct, unplugged the WIF light i out. Put a jumper in and the light will come on.
check to see if wires are shorted together
check that float thingamajig it up when it should rest to bottom of sensor
could be sensor itself
