I’ve done some research and can’t figure out how to get a wastegate to hold over what a car would consider high boost, I didn’t read too much but figured I’d ask

What numbers do you consider "high boost"? This forum works on information, not assumptions.

Stock LB7 can reach 33lbs on a stock wastegate with a valve.

You’re gunna have to elaborate more. Are you just wanting to understand how the gate can be set to say, 80psi assuming the turbo and engine can handle it?

We need more info. What is the setup? What wastegate? What turbo? What engine and fueling (injector size and CP3)? The short answer is stronger spring and plumbing into the wastegate. The long answer is a lot more complicated.

@JoshH nailed it. The short answer is plumbing and spring choice.

Adding pressure on the top side of the diaphragm increases the effective pressure of the spring whereas adding underneath the diaphragm decreases the effective pressure of the spring making the gate open sooner.
