upgrade hydro-boost?

The hyro-boost on my LMM is leaking and I need to change it. I viewed a video on youtube showing a guy putting one from a 2011 model on a 2005 truck saying it was an upgrade, better and cheaper than the stock one. Is there any fact to this?

There are a few on here that have done it, they say it works better. When mine goes out I'll be going with a 2011 lml one.

Done it on both my LMM and 01 suburban both where leaking... also swap fluid to hydraulic fluid with anti wear in both vehicles.
Works substantially better..
