Don't wanna stare at the SES light for !EGR all tmmr night, so I tossed the level 1, 40/97 tune on the truck.

Safe to tow a double car trailer with one car on it?

Thanks guys :thumb:

Well this thread will be proof as to why you should just start with a EFIlive tune package.

Guess I will be switching back to LVL1 and trans relearn this week.

Towing a 9k lb boat/trailer combo on the PPE 160hp tune, bad idea?

depends.

can you keep your foot out of it while in 5th gear?
do you have a EGT gauge to watch?

ive towed on that tune before. didnt net me the best fuel mileage, the 120 tune did best but i was on a built trans when i towed that big.

if you dont want to have to worry about limping, put it on lvl 1

Yea I would be cruising at barely 65, prob sit at 55 actually, trailer is a little iffy (parents are not putting the boat in this season and we are gonna store it at my grandparents vs paying the marina to store it, so trailer has never been used short of boat storage in winter)

Yes, have a CTS for EGT temps.

The risk is not worth it so it will get switched down to level 1.

You could probably tow on a higher setting if it wasn't for those heavy ass boat anchors you're lugging around.. :thumb:

Just Keep your foot out of it when in O/D. To pass just drop it into 4th & go, then shift up. Easy does it in O/D that thing will limp.
