Sbc triple disc clutch

Iv installed a few sbc on some dodges this Is my first on a Chevy and I've never seen these blocks befor curious to there purpose and if they stay there

Those are "flyweights" and stay there. They act to apply more pressure to the spring fingers with rising rpm
