So, trucks been parked, it's up for sale (which it probably never will), and I want it spotless again, when I pulled the bed on my LLY, I did it at the rig with a forklift but that's not an option nowadays.

So how have you guys been pulling the bed on your own? I was thinking some long straps and a snatch block but not sure how that will work.

Two people can pick it up, can't ya get a buddy, a set of horses, and two 2x4x10 and set it down?

Otherwise you could try straps and grab it that way

By myself I would use 4 straps or chains to the inside hooks of the bed corners, use a comealong from the rafters or a tree and lift it up and pull the truck out.

I pulled mine like Albert said. I strapped it corner to corner cross ways and lifted it straight up by myself with a hoist.

If you have a steady branch throw a strap over it and tie some lifting tackle (pulleys ect...).run a sturdy 2x6 or double stack 2x4 for more back bone under the bed rails. Slowly lift bed to find center and viola! How i did mine by myself. Use as wide of a piece of wood under the bed rails so you dont bend them.. hope that helps

I considered pulling the bed on my last truck. My thoughts were back under a tree or 2 with some good size limbs. Hook 4 tie down straps to each hook inside the bed. Then 1 bigger strap in the middle that hooked to the trees. Then ratchet up on each until I could drive out from under. Not sure it would work... But my help!

It sometimes pays to have a teenage son with friends. ;)

But I like the way Burn and Slim did it.

Full redneck here. Big branch, snatch block and a winch. Strapped the bed like everyone said

Love this! Y'all would shit a brick if you've seen some of the ways I've done things.

I have lifted my whole truck with 10ton overhead crane, and worked under it. I did park two 6000lb forklifts under each end to act as a life saver:thumb:

As far as lifting the bed, I've always used a 4x4 cut to length under the bed rails, find center of gravity and lift. If worried you can always C clamp the 4x4 to the bed rails using 2x4 block on top to keep from reforming the bed rails.
