So I fried the converter in my lbz which dirtied things up a bit so I replaced the converter, converter seal and bushing,did new cooler lines(needed them anyway), and flushed the coolers. I have a new spin on filter and a new internal and I’m also doing a trans go junior and a deep pan. I know I need to build the trans but it’s never slipped and getting it built in my area is impossible, ive called everyone in the province and nobody will do it. Considering building it myself. I’ll just be easy on it and hope for the best for now. My question is do I just fill the trans and fire the truck? Or is there a way to prime the system beforehand?

Pore 10 qts of atf in it and let it idle. Start checking the fluid and add a qt at a time while checking it.
