Mobil M1-303A Filter Differences

I'll figure out how to post pics, but I have used the Mobil M1-303 oil filters on my truck forever. I know they changed to the M1-303A extended performance a while back. Well I picked a few more since I was using up my last one and they are different from the M1-303A I already have. The overall filter height is a little shorter on the new ones and the top where the oil enters the filter is completely different. I've tried to find info on it to avail. Anyone else use these and notice the new design? Good, bad, run it type deal?

I just noticed this also recently. The old ones were made by Champion Labs but I am not sure about the new ones but I think they are made by Purolator.

Relief valves are totally different too. I hate when they change stuff and give no information out about it.

Looks like they're made by Purolator now instead of Champion Labs...
