mahle piston clearance spec

Hey does anyone know off hand what specs for clearance are that mahle wants on there performance cast pistons .020" over they didnt send anything with the pistons.

Or are you guys just using the same clearance as stock pistons

Clearance is built into the piston, the bore goes .020 over factory spec.

So just have the machine shop just punch and finish hone to exactly .020 over what bout ring clearances with the mahles.

Jake for that I went the loosest GM allows for PTW clearance. I wanna say it's .0039

Ya I think max stock is .0039 ill go with max stock clearance and do that isnt there a thread somewhere with all these clearances

I didn't see piston to wall clearance here I don't have a manual in front of me I wanted to be able to get some numbers for min and max

The Mahle clearance that is built in is .0035 pistons to wall.

this was what I was told.

Street driviing with a few hundred miles of soft break in go .017 - .019". Race only no break in then go .018 - .022"

not sure what machine shop made mine too.
