LMM: LMM 2 coolant temp sensors????

Are you talking about near the thermostats? I've noticed some have two and some only one
Yeah, thats why I was asking. I found it odd because Ive worked on 07.5, 08, and 09 LMM's. The 07.5 Im working on now has two, the last 09 I worked on has one. I dont remember about the 08, it was a while ago.
At first I thought maybe one was pre-stat, and the other was post-stat, or in different "circuits" in the cooling system, but after taking the stats and sensors out, they are not separated at all. Whats the point of having two sensors that theoretically will always read within a degree or two of eachother???
