Getting ready to do the LFM this afternoon, I read the write up, seems straight forward, but I was curious on opinions whether heating any of the metal before bending would be worthwhile?
Pics?
Next mod... buy tires. :spit:
ive done this mod to a 2016 and my current 2017, pretty much the same, except the older trucks are a little easier to manipulate IMO..makes a difference thats for sure.
What size wheel? I clear 305/45/22 on 22x11 0 Offset dropped keys almost all the way out
Yeah I am hoping the new wheels/tires will follow the curve and not get hung up on the very outside... I'm only going to a 285 55r20
Oh ya for sure you'll be ok, what offset wheel did you Get? I'm currently using 20x10 with -19 os on 35's. Just leveled
-19
Those 35s must be STUFFED lol. I didn't want to take any chances. I was thinking about 305 55/r20 but it looked to close based on my eye calculator.
Not terrible, I used these little bracket things with zip ties to help them last when you pull the front liner back.
Oh yeah that looks great. I just used a self-tapper through the liner. I figure I'll go with the 285s to be safe and upsize on the next set if need be
Just need my damn wheels to ship
Ya that's what I used as well, the zip ties are for the front fender liner. You might not need them at all on 285's. You'll have to post up some pics once your wheels show up:thumb:
