Getting ready to do the LFM this afternoon, I read the write up, seems straight forward, but I was curious on opinions whether heating any of the metal before bending would be worthwhile?

Ive never had to heat the metal. Make sure you paint the bare metal you cut to prolong the life of it.

Not sure if GMC flares are different structurally, but there wasn't much of bottom lip to fold up.. it does look like someone was in there before me though..

It always sounds worse than it is. Did one side in a couple hours now I can do a whole truck in about a hour. Amazing how much room it opens up!

Yeah I am hoping the new wheels/tires will follow the curve and not get hung up on the very outside... I'm only going to a 285 55r20

Oh ya for sure you'll be ok, what offset wheel did you Get? I'm currently using 20x10 with -19 os on 35's. Just leveled

Those 35s must be STUFFED lol. I didn't want to take any chances. I was thinking about 305 55/r20 but it looked to close based on my eye calculator.

Not terrible, I used these little bracket things with zip ties to help them last when you pull the front liner back.

Oh yeah that looks great. I just used a self-tapper through the liner. I figure I'll go with the 285s to be safe and upsize on the next set if need be

Just need my damn wheels to ship

Ya that's what I used as well, the zip ties are for the front fender liner. You might not need them at all on 285's. You'll have to post up some pics once your wheels show up:thumb:
