When i send my crankshaft to the machine shop to get key, what size keyway needs to be machined in it. Also doesnt the gear need to have the keyway broached into it also, wouldnt the cam gear need one broached into it to?

Gear is already keyed. I forget the size off the top of my head. It is metric. 6mm IIRC. But you can measure the key in the gear to be sure.

Its not keyed already. The oil gear and dampner are both pins. Just looked at them this morning, I have an lbz. Everything that slides on though has a sqaure cut in it. Maybe that is what he meant, so you only need key the actual cam and crank.

Correct, just need to cut the actual cam and crank, not the gears
