High idle on a LBZ

I think it has to be under 32*f and the engine temp has to be below about 135*f for it to kick on. If both of those conditions aren't met then it won't turn on.

The truck will have to be run for about 1 min and your foot can't be on the brake and it should start to high idle

Is there a parameter in the tune that can be changed on Lbz's? I haven't started mine in that cold of weather so I don't know.

To turn it on? Look in your book there is a certain pedal sequence to turn it on and then it high idled automatically at the temp

You get your trans built yet Derek? My goal of the year is to be able to run with Derek and his stock lbz....thats all I want to do :hug:

I saw the sequence on youtube this morning for setting the high idle. You hold the gas pedal to the floor and pump the brake three times. Same way to turn it off. So it was 6 degrees out and I tried it and it worked...after about 30 seconds she reved up to 1200 rpms. As soon as you touch the brake the high idle kicks off. Truck warmed up twice as fast. Plus haveing it pluged in helps a great deal.

No trans yet :( its getting pushed back a little bit due to me wanting to pull at the keystone nationals in march against some prostock diesels :)
