Don't you wish...
hey everyone, just looking on getting a set of H2 rims for my stock height 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. I know the rims are 9" wide and and the size is 17". My question is what size of a tire can i put on the rim and still have no issues with the stock height.. I was told that i can run a 275/65/17 on the truck with the H2 rims. Id like to get some inside on what should i do.. Im going to be getting the BFG All-Terrain T/A® KO as the tires for the rims..

i used to run 315/70/17's they did not rub at all. then i put on 265/70's for the mileage and improved handling while towing.

You guys must have Fords if 285's dont rub without raising the Tbars up some. 285s look good but they'll rub something fierce at stock height.

I'm also in the market for tires for H2's for winter.

I currently have 285/60/18's and they only rub slightly when backing up and the front end is slammed.

I really want 275/70/17 but nobody makes them higher than load range C.

I'd go 265/70/17 but it seems like it's hit or miss if they look stupid or not.

Here's what I've come up with.
265/70 would be the same height as my current tires but much skinnier. (pro = they fit fine, con = they're too skinny for rims)
285/70 would be the same width but 1.3" taller. (pro = look great/ con= don't want to change stance for huge tires)
275/70 would be perfect but worried about load range C, even though I don't tow anything. (pro = size is perfect, con = load range C could cause issues down the road)

I had 285s on mine when it was stock with my t-bars cranked and trimmed the lower bumper valence a little bit. worked great and never rubbed after that.

I ordered them this morning
I wouldn't think they would rub on your truck with the green keys, Im at stock or close to height & I don't have a valance right now
