threw the stock tune on it. deleted EGR and turned intake heater DTC off. truck is just idling but I think it has the same problem. its warming up and high idle idles at 1050rpm instead of 1200. will go for a drive and report back. this is wierd. its going to be something stupid that im just overlooking and will kick my self in the arse when I figure it out

Same LBZ regs. with 2 CP3s will really eat fuel once you get a solid 30k psi. or bit less on it. My single LBZ CP3 always holds hi press. with a real nice tune for a balance act but it sure holds its pressure up with the lift pump of course. Bigger fuel line helped alot though 10AN makes a diff.

well you deffenantly can use different year reg. on the pumps. the stock tune worked. built 25k+psi no problem. truck was alot of fun to drive considering it was a stock tune. thought all was fixed then all of a sudden driving down the road it lost its pressure again, no DTC. two blocks later it started to buck, and wam! it built pressure again and drove fine. this has been happening threwout the day. will just drop off, then come back. checked wiring, removed and reinstalled power, ground, both CP3 connectors. seems to not wanna work after start up. drive for a few blocks and it kicks in. once its working it seems to do fine.

on a little side note twins are sweet! EGT's are low, and they sound awsome! with 60%, twins and stock tuning it feels like its got a pretty hot tune again.

Wonder if the relief valve is having a kiniption fit with the pressure maintaining better now...

well its been fine for the last day or two. I found if I would shake the ATS controller it would start working again. did that a few times on the side of the road and now its fine. I did have the controller zip tied to the engine harness before, I now moved it to the fire wall. maybe vibrations were an issue? Also, the truck was assemblyed in a heated shop, and its -25C up here. condensation maybe? at anyrate its been fine.

bumped pulse width up and played with vane tables. HOLY COW!!!! this thing is a hand full and a half. 2170us, 22*, 55 PSI... WOW :D

Thats a fair bit of fuel, especially on a stock bottom end. I bet it hauled ass though! Fill out your signature so we know what you're working with...

ya, looks like a bent rod. balance rates show cyl 4 almost double what the other are. rough idle, smokes at idle. feels like motor isnt balanced. at the same time, I dont know if this is just a fluke but the last 2 times I check the oil the dipstick is push out. maybe I keep forgetting to push it in... or a cracked piston too?

06 LBZ delipped mahle pistons and ARP head studs. otherwise stock.

and yes, this thing was a hand full and a half when it was running good. Ive never drivin a max with this type of power so when I layed into it the first time...:D

finally pulled this motor apart.

Rods and pistons are fine. sheard the harmonic balancer pin, balancer rotated 90*, pin for oilpump gear is bent to hell. havent looked at cam pin but assuming is probly also bent.

the out of balance ate ALL the bearings on the crank(rods and mains) scored the crank pretty good.

LLY block and crank are going in with Carillo rods, modded Mahles, ARP main studs, keyed crank and cam.

Moral of the story, make sure your balancer bolt is torqued!
